All The Trendy Ways You Can Wear Denim This Spring
Denim is having a moment.
Like, a really big moment.
Canadian tuxedos (a.k.a jean on jean lewks) are totally acceptable, and so are over-the-knee boots made out of denim. Kendall Jenner is even trying to make these ridic cut-off things happen.
When it comes to wearing denim this spring and summer, you can’t really go wrong, but there are definitely ways to go extra right, if you catch our drift.
Here are some of the ways that all your fave style stars will be wearing denim this spring, and how you can too.

1. Flared Jeans
Missguided Black Mid-Rise Extreme Frayed Skinny Flared Jeans, $63
Skinnies have held the denim throne for what feels like forever, and flared jeans are finally creeping back into the mainstream. Some pairs, like the ones above, really play up the frayed hems that you used to have from dragging your too-long jeans across the floor, but a nice polished pair with booties would also be a great look.
2. Gaucho Jeans
House of Holland X Lee Wide Leg Jean with Wrap Front, $300
Whether you love or hate these, all the fashion snobs have been wearing super-wide legged denim lately, a.k.a the gaucho jeans.

3. Denim Shoes
Forever 21 Over-the-Knee Denim Sock Boots, $78
At first glance, these boots like the bottom part of a pair of jeans after you cut them into shorts, but they’re actually not. If you’re not feeling this extreme denim footwear vibe, don’t worry. Denim is also being used in slides, stilettos, and essentially any kind of shoe you can think of this season.
4. Jackets Are Still Poppin’
Pull&Bear Studded Faux Fur Collar Denim Jacket, $100
Jean jackets came in hot in 2016 and have been every thot’s go-to cover-up for when they want to hit the club in a bra top, and they’re still going strong. Jean jackets are arguably a classic, so don’t feel bad about splurging on one while they’re extra hot right now.
5. Jean Skirts
Missguided Busted Hem Denim Midi Skirt, $45
Don’t break out your old Abercrombie jean skirt just yet, but denim skirts are back with a vengeance. Unfortunately, the silhouettes have changed slightly (hence the forewarning), but they’re still super flattering and essentially go with everything, so you should buy one ASAP.

Thanks to dope embroidery artists like Drake’s favorite designer, embroidered pieces — specifically denim — are super cute right now. It’s a great way to add some personality to your high-waisted jean shorts to show them that albeit your basic outfit, you are anything but.

8. Mom Jeans
New Look Petite Extreme Ripped Jeans, $46
Not to be confused with MILF jeans (which are still largely unacceptable), but mom jeans are basically those vintage Levi’s that don’t fit anyone correctly, but are super comfy.
One Teaspoon Awesome Baggies Lo Waist Slim Boyfriend, $166
Alright, this is a little scary because it means that the whole abs trend is also coming back, as the model in the photo perfectly exemplifies. But it’s okay, if you prefer to rock high-waisted jeans to cover ur lower tummy, you won’t stick out like a sore thumb…yet.
