Kendall Jenner Is Bringing Back 2008 MILF Jeans
Although Kendall Jenner wasn’t even a teenager back in 2008, babygirl is here for bootcut jeans, otherwise known as the MILF jeans of 2008.

Although the name “bootcut jeans” is fairly self-explanatory, they haven’t been “in” in almost a decade. So just in case you‘ve never seen them out of the context of Mean Girls, here’s a refresher on what their deal is.
Basically, they’re the kind of jeans that look good on every body type, and aren’t exactly flared, but kind of flared so that they fit over tall boots.
Everybody wore them, much like everybody wears once-derided “mom jeans” today, but this look was especially popular with cool moms because generally it enabled you to do things like put your boots on before your pants without creating a traffic jam situation and freed you from the burden of having to wear matching socks while still looking fashionable, or at least as fashionable as any of us looked in the 2000s.
As we’ve already mentioned, it was a rough decade for everybody.
While bootcut jeans are easily one of the less offensive 2000s trends we can think of, it would represent a drastic denim departure for all of us.
Think about it.
Right now, everything about denim is cut a little higher. Jeans sit higher on your waist than they used to and they often end right around the ankle, all the better to show off those $60 black patent leather lucite heel boots you just bought.
Even though shoes are always in, shoes are very in right now, and our denim trends reflects that.
A return to bootcut jeans would mean that only a fraction of our expensive footwear would be visible, which I think we can all agree is a major bummer. And, since bootcut jeans have a slight flare to them, it means they just look weird if you try and tuck them in.
Obviously, just because Kendall Jenner wears something one day it doesn’t mean it’s necessarily going to become a trend, but it’s a slippery slope.
As much as high fashion is moving in an 80s direction, trendy fashion is tilting towards the 2000s, so there’s a likely chance that Instagram girls all over the world will be wearing bootcut jeans by Christmas.
Plus, did we mention how they look good on everybody? That’s why cool moms latched onto them back in the day. And it’s why cool moms will latch onto them again if they come back.
Try this trend at your own risk.
