Can You Tell What’s Going On With Kendall’s Shorts In This Picture?
Kendall Jenner has super powers.
As a member of an elite class of celebrities, Kendall has the power to dictate what the rest of society will be wearing in the next couple of months, and just like that old guy said to Toby Maguire in Spiderman, “with great power comes great responsibility.”
Sadly for all of us, Kendall is too busy being chained to the YOLO to give a shit about wearing clothes you can look at without scratching your head and going, “has it really come to all this?”

For instance, look at this incredibly confusing outfit she just wore on Thursday while walking around LA in broad daylight.
Forget about the fact that her half-tucked shirt is so long it’s hanging out of her shorts and just focus on the shorts themselves for a second.
Can you tell what’s going on with them?
If you look closely, you’ll notice the decorative border running along the seams of Kendall’s shorts has apparently decided to revolt against convention and extend all the way down to Kendall’s ankles even though the rest of the shorts stop just below her crotch.
And once the seams reached Kendall’s ankles, they decided to form two teensy tiny ankle bracelets.

Like, are these even shorts or are they the most extreme pair of cut-out jeans the world has ever seen?
And if they are shorts, what are we supposed to call them?
Ankle cuff shorts?

Update:
Thanks to multiple fashionista tipsters, while there’s still so much I don’t understand about Kendall’s shorts, I do know where they’re from: Left Hand LA, a fashion line which makes one of a kind activewear for famous people like Beyonce and Rihanna, and also for regular people who want to look like they’re cool enough to be famous.
I also know they are considered denim shorts with ankle cuffs, so at least I was kind of right about what to call them.
