Are Kendall and Gigi Still Friends?
On Monday night, famous BFFs Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid both attended Anna Wintour’s annual Met Gala.
While countless photos were taken of Kendall hanging out with her friends, there wasn’t a single photo of Kendall and Gigi together.
In fact, there weren’t even any photos where they appeared in the same frame, which led a lot of people to ask themselves, are Kendall and Gigi still friends anymore?
While only Kendall and Gigi can truly answer this question with certainty, let’s take a look at the evidence and see what we can figure out on our own.

#1 The last time there were multiple photos taken of them enjoying each other’s company was back in November of 2016, when they were shooting the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show
TBH they looked really happy.
And they didn’t just hang out backstage, they hung out before the show:

And Gigi even shared a picture of Kendall and a bunch of her other model friends with the caption, “my girls.”

While it’s possible to kiss somebody you hate, this picture seems to be proof that at least back in February, things were still gucci between them.
#3 We only have proof they’ve hung out socially ONCE this year
Back in January, Kendall was photographed heading to Gigi’s apartment with Bella.
Presumably, Gigi was inside and the three friends had a lit ole time together, but there’s no way of knowing because nobody took any pictures for social media.
Although there’s also a chance Gigi made a no-pictures mandate because Kendall was wearing the fugliest outfit.

#4 Kendall and Gigi haven’t posted pictures of themselves hanging out in a long time.
The last time Kendall posted a picture of herself hanging out with Gigi on Instagram was in June of 2016.
And the last time Gigi posted a picture of them was for Kendall’s birthday in November, but it was an old picture.
#5 Neither of them was photographed going to each other’s most recent birthdays
Even though Gigi wished Kendall a happy birthday on Instagram, she wasn’t there to ring in Kendall’s 21st birthday.
And all the evidence suggests that Kendall didn’t celebrate Gigi’s birthday AT ALL.
She wasn’t seen hanging out with her, she didn’t wish her HBD on Insta, and Gigi didn’t say anything about Kendall getting her a gift on her Instagram story.

#5 They weren’t photographed together at the Met Gala
That one you already knew.
But here’s the thing, Gigi wasn’t really photographed hanging out with anybody at the Met Gala.
The only picture I could find of her was with Lily Aldridge, a close friend of Gigi and Taylor Swift.
While it certainly is a little sus that Gigi and Kendall aren’t hanging out as much as they used to, I don’t think it proves anything.
Just take a look at Gigi’s Instagram feed: she’s not really hanging out with anybody these days.
Her only candid photos she’s posted all year have either been with Bella, Zayn, or just herself – and those are pretty much the only people the paparazzi have caught her hanging out with too.
While last year, it seemed like Gigi and Kendall were going out to The Nice Guy to get their picture taken with the rest of young Hollywood every chance they got, these days Gigi isn’t going out unless it’s to hang out with her family, her boyfriend, or do something for work.

Clearly, Gigi’s made a conscious decision to abstain from a public social life.
If probably all goes hand-in-hand with something Gigi said at a Reebok event back in December when she announced she was going on a social media hiatus. “At the end of the day I’m choosing what I’m showing you,” Gigi said. “A lot of the world feels so entitled to other people’s lives, which is so crazy.”
Ever since she made that speech, Gigi’s been extra careful about what she shows her millions of followers.
She’s not hanging out with Taylor, she’s not hanging out with Kendall, and she’s not going to the clubs – or if she is, she’s not letting herself get photographed.
It may be a little boring, but it’s pretty classy and old-school that Gigi’s not giving the press anything to talk about besides her family, her clothes, and her work.

While there’s a chance Kendall’s a little butt hurt her BFF doesn’t want to paint the town red with her anymore, that’s probably the depth of the rift between them.
If Kendall and Gigi really had that big of a falling out, don’t you think it would be a little weird for everyone that Kendall and Bella are hanging out 24/7?
Bella and Gigi are close AF, and if shit really went down, we’re sure Bella would take her sister’s side.
Besides, the last time the world thought Kendall and Gigi weren’t friends anymore it turned out we were completely wrong.

So to sum it all up: Kengi fans probably don’t have anything to worry about.
Kendall and Gigi are probably still friends, they’re just taking their public brands in different directions.
