Lola Kirke Partly Blames “Taylor F*cking Swift” For Trump
Unless you happen to watch Amazon’s “Mozart in the Jungle,” before today, if you knew Lola Kirke at all, you knew her as “Girls” actress Jemima Kirke’s little sister.
But after today, Lola Kirke will go down in history as the woman who dared to call out “Tayor f*cking Swift,” saying she “might as well have voted for Trump.”
Bold, Lola.
And not entirely inaccurate.

Although Lola’s interview for Vogue was ostensibly about some movie she’s starring in at SXSW called “Gemini,” which sadly does not seem to have anything to do with horoscopes, the interview quickly migrated to more important topics like the rhythm of LA, whether or not Lola has a personal assistant, and politics.
When asked the now-standard question of whether she felt responsibility as a public figure to talk about politics, Lola responded, “I mean, in this f*cking day and age, yeah, I do.”
She continued:
“I totally understand why some people won’t do that; I definitely think that there are certain celebrities who really could offer more help to grassroots movements with their power – and don’t.”
Then, with virtually zero prompting she said, “like Taylor fucking Swift, who may as well have voted for Trump, as far as I’m concerned, by not doing anything.”
Lola has a point.

While technically it’s none of our business who Taylor Swift voted for, this past election was pretty f*cking important.
Pretty much every other pop star took a stand either way, which is why it’s so curious Taylor stayed silent.
After all, it’s not like Taylor’s never taken a stand on political issues near and dear to her heart, like a musician’s right to make as much money as possible.
Basically, what it boils down to is she either voted for Trump and didn’t want to look bad or she didn’t want to risk alienating a single one of her fans who may have voted for Trump.
No matter which way you slice it, since Taylor didn’t help not get him elected, she’s at least partially to blame for the fact that ole orange boy is our president right now.
Luckily for Lola, Taylor Swift doesn’t care what Lola Kike thinks about her, or even know who tf Lola Kirke even is.
Although maybe she will now.
After all, we all know how riled up Taylor gets about bad blood.
