Adele Says She ‘Can’t Possibly Accept‘ Her Grammy Cuz Beyoncé Deserved It More

After winning Album of the Year and beating out Beyoncé for four straight awards, Beyonce’s #1 fan Adele decided enough was enough and announced to the world, “I can’t possibly accept this award.”

Why?

Because she thought Beyoncé deserved it more.

Taking the stage in a gown perfectly matching 2017’s hideous color of the year, Adele pledged her allegiance to the United States of Beyoncé — which coincidentally is how this country will ultimately choose to rebrand itself when B gives birth to twin messiahs in a few short months.

After rambling on about how hard it is being a mother — fair — Adele said:

“But I can’t possibly accept this award, and I’m very humbled and very grateful and gracious but my life is Beyoncé, and the album to me, the “Lemonade” album, Beyoncé, was so monumental, and so well thought out. And so beautiful and soul bearing and we all got to see another side of you that you don’t always let us see, and we appreciate that. And all us artists adore you. You are our light. And the way that you make me and my friends feel, the way you make my black friends feel is empowering, and you make them stand up for themselves. And I love you. I always have. And I always will. I appreciate it.”

Seriously, what is it about Beyoncé that makes grown people want to give her awards even when she didn‘t win them?

Granted, Adele’s admission was significantly less crazy than the time Kanye jumped onstage at the 2009 Video Music Awards to tell Taylor Swift, sorry white girl I’ve never heard of, but Beyoncé made the best music video of all time, but still.

This is not normal behavior.

Even Beyonce’s troll doll of a husband seemed to think so. Just look at his face while this tom foolery was going down.

Maybe it’s time we lay off drinking the Queen B Kool-Aid for a while, seeing as it will literally be mandatory after she gives birth to twin messiahs and the world spontaneously recreates itself in her image.

Let’s enjoy normalcy while we still can.

Although, let the record show that when push came to shove, Adele did keep that Grammy.

Maybe there’s faith for humanity yet.
