OSEA skincare makes you feel naturally radiant, without all the fuss

Let’s talk skincare.

I’m pretty lazy when it comes to skincare. I like to be able to do something quick, efficient, and easy – which, if you know skincare, is kind of difficult.

If you’re lazy with your skin like me, I’m here to tell you it’s okay and your secret is safe with me. But, also those makeup wipes aren’t going to last you forever (I’ve tried), and they won’t get your skin where you want it to be – healthy and happy.

You know how many drunken nights i’ve had where I’ve just strolled into bed (or a questionable floor) and slept peacefully with my makeup still on? The answer is plenty. Your girl has gone three days at a time with wearing the same eyebrows (I knowwwww, I’m tragic, let’s not talk about it).

Truth be told, I actually didn’t start caring about my facial needs until my skin started reacting to these habits. Let me tell you a little bit about my skin – it’s combination/dry and I only ever break out when I’m highly stressed or drowning in anxiety. I have two jobs, an internship, and school, and I could not find the time to ~self love~, until I found Osea, the ultimate timesaver (and skin saver).

This year, I decided to make a change in the process of my daily life. I have been very conscious and paying attention to labels, what I put in/on my body, and the companies I’d like to support.

Being vegan, I have found it very difficult to obtain a skincare routine that I enjoy. When I was transitioning to being more involved with my skincare, I noticed most face washes used honey or unnatural ingredients like sulfates and harming chemicals – not my jam.

Having done research on what would work best for my skin, I came across OSEA Skincare. An organic, seaweed-based skincare line that is all-natural, non-toxic, AND vegan. If a skincare brand could be my soulmate, OSEA would be it.

Recently I was given the opportunity to visit their Venice Beach skincare studio and receive a much needed facial by their lovely skincare specialist, Lisa. The experience was nurturing and stress-free. I left relaxed and feeling like I could take on the world without any makeup on.

It fucking ruled.

Over the past two months, I have been using their products religiously, the regime usually changes depending on my schedule. What I love about their products is that they are very adjustable to your everyday.

Read below to check out my full experience with a couple of their products recommended by their skincare specialist!

1. Ocean Milk Cleanser

What I love about this cleanser is it’s super hydrating and creamy! My skin feels soft after every use. The only downside to the cleanser is it’s inability to remove leftover makeup and residue.

Once I started removing my makeup prior to using this cleanser, it was a soothing dream I wish I would never wake up from! So, if you’re wearing makeup, make sure to remove your makeup with a wipe prior to using this cleanser.

It comes in a 5 oz bottle and after two months I’m nearly half way through, so it is safe to say you get your money’s worth.

2. Hyaluronic Sea Serum

SERUMS!

Wow, this serum changed my life.

The purpose of this serum is to hydrate and moisturize your face, while smoothing wrinkles and fine lines. I recently just found how helpful a good serum can be, and this particular one is extremely hydrating (and again, a little goes a long way).

The product can stretch all the way to your neck and chest if you truly desire. Definitely haven’t gone a day without applying this luminous product, I’m always finding an excuse to apply. Even if you don’t have dry skin, this can be beneficial for all skin types.

3. Undaria Algae Oil

This botanical-based body oil is E V E R Y T H I N G.

This oil is said to firm and minimize the appearance of stretch marks and  promote vitality. I normally use this product right after using the cleanser and serum. The cool thing about this oil is that it’s universal.

HELLOOO SHOULDERS! HELLOOO ANKLES! Let’s lather you up.

Start by using just a little bit, because this oil can get messy and, you guessed it, a little goes a long way (obviously this whole line is also extremely economical). The smell is divine and citrusy, and the oil is super hydrating. If you have any dry patches, using the algae oil will show you an improvement.

On the days that I forget about my skincare entirely, this oil restores and brightens my face enough to where no one is asking the question, “Are you tired?” Aka my knight in shining armor.

4. Advanced Protection Cream

I love the Advanced Protection Cream, specifically because of it’s nourishing factor.

The product never feels heavy, and it absorbs right into my skin, immediately making it feel softer. I think this cream ties in all the other products together really well.

I have also used makeup primers with this cream, the combination of both keeps me feeling radiate! I find myself wearing a lot less makeup than I used to, which, to anyone that has known me the past five years, is a surprising and new revelation.

Prior to using OSEA, I never went out of the house without makeup. After using their products, I am loving being a fresh faced queen, and I am also saving on makeup (since I have cut back a ton). My skin has improved and they do provide skincare for all different types.

A plus? OSEA’s packaging and presentation is gorgeous and sleek, and will look super cute in all of your fresh faced insta stories.

Overall, I definitely will continue to use OSEA and their products. Although their price point is a bit of a stretch for most, I think the quality is well worth the investment. I believe in OSEA’s commitment to deliver non-toxic vegan beauty products. It is refreshing to know a brand aligns perfectly with my own beliefs and opinions.

I would recommend this to any friend, and if you’re interested in finding out more check out their website or pop in there skincare studio and have a lovely specialist find the perfect fit for you!
