Today in Melbourne, Australia, a giant mural memorializing Taylor Swift’s metaphorical death magically appeared on the side of a building, and as far as street art goes, it’s a home run: meaningful, cheeky, and savage af.
But there is one thing that could be better about the mural.
The artist really could have spelled Taylor’s last name correctly.
Lushsux, who’s the same creative mind between the mural of Kim’s nude selfie earlier this year, swears that calling her Taylor Smith was “an unintentional mistake,” but then again, seeing as Smith is literally the most generic white person last name ever, it also makes the mural that much funnier.
Lushsux posted a picture of the mural to Instagram this morning with the caption, “the recent passing of @taylorswift is heart wrenching. Come and leave some flowers and light some candles at her memorial in Hosier lane in honour of her memory. If you do please DM photos of you doing it.”
