Gigi Hadid Channels Brigitte Bardot on ‘The Tonight Show’
Gigi Hadid appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night to talk about her 21st birthday festivities, and she was a vision of 60s-inspired gorgeous-ness.
With her teased crown, middle-parted hair, and heavily flicked black cat-eye makeup, she was the perfect 2016 homage to French film star Brigitte Bardot. And lucky for the rest of us, this is a look that’s flattering for everyone and ridiculously easy to recreate.
1. The Hair
Brigitte and Gigi share a sexy bedhead look that works best a day or two post-shampoo. To get the look yourself, have a nice long sleep, with or without a quick roll in the hay with a French stud. When you wake up in the morning, don’t brush your hair. Instead, go through it with a 1.5-inch curling iron to add some texture.
Then, you can tease it at the crown. Or if you don’t want to risk the damage that can accompany backcombing, spritz Kérastase VIP Volume in Powder Dry Volumizing and Texturizing Spray at your crown. If you want to amp up the volume even more, flip your head over and apply Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray liberally. Not only will you have perfect sexy bedhead — these two products will also make you smell delish.
2. The Liner
The Brigitte look is all about the cat eye — more is more.
If you’re a total novice, you can’t go wrong with a Charlotte Tilbury tutorial. Most liquid liners are suitable for creating a cat eye. But if you’ve tried that before and ended up glopping your black liquid liner all over the place, try a more manageable felt-tipped liner like Cover Girl’s Bombshell Intensity Liner or Urban Decay’s Super Saturated Ultra Intense Waterproof Cream Eyeliner.
Keep the rest of your face plain and simple. No red lip or over-the-top contouring here.

3. The Burger
Eating whatever the eff you want — albeit in moderation — is a French girl way of life that Gigi is apparently familiar with. She and one of her besties have scoured New York City to find the perfect burger, as she once explained on Top Chef.
The model has said that her motto is “eat clean to stay fit, eat a burger to stay sane,” and that’s why host Jimmy Fallon provided her with a burger from her favorite NYC restaurant, JG Melon, on the air.
Brigitte Bardot strikes us as the kind of gal who could put away a cheeseburger with the best of ’em too, so we’re adding a burger to our list of Brigitte beauty requirements.
