THE SKINCARE BRAND TURNING RECOVERY INTO A BEAUTY MOVEMENT: MEET OSIER FOUNDER CHEREE ASHLEY

Osier founder Cheree Ashley spent over a decade building recovery programs within the substance
rehabilitation industry. Today, she is channeling that experience into a skincare and wellness brand rooted in
healing, balance, and new beginnings, positioning Osier at the intersection of beauty and education.

FROM RECOVERY WORK TO BRAND BUILDING

For more than eleven years, Cheree has worked in substance rehabilitation and has been in recovery herself,
developing programs that have helped thousands of people rebuild their lives. Through that work and her lived
experience, she also witnessed something less often discussed – the emotional and physical toll that addiction
and recovery can take on self-image. She observed firsthand how substances affect the body physically and
mentally, contributing to inflammation, dehydration, puffiness, redness, and changes in skin health. These effects
often sit alongside an already complex emotional recovery process.

Osier was created in response to that gap, bridging recovery, self-worth, and skincare into a single ecosystem of
support. Cheree’s vision was to introduce self-care earlier in the process, not only after crisis, but as part of
building stability, structure, and routine in everyday life.

As individuals begin to rebuild their lives, wellness routines naturally return, including movement, skincare, and
daily rituals that restore a sense of control and confidence. Skincare in particular becomes something people look
forward to at the end of the day, offering a moment of calm, hydration, and grounding.

BACK-TO-BASICS WELLNESS

Osier is built around what Cheree describes as a “back-to-basics” approach to wellness. The brand focuses on
rebuilding structure, balance, and daily habits through accessible tools and guidance. Its mission is to educate,
motivate, and support individuals throughout their wellness journey, whether through routine-building strategies,
shared lived experiences, or products designed to enrich mind, body, and skin health.

The brand is structured around three core pillars: education, community, and products. Osier serves as a
destination for wellness learning, offering guidance on how to integrate wellness practices into everyday life,
supported by expert-informed content and routine-building tools. At its core is community, where Osier
encourages connection, dialogue, and shared experience, creating space for individuals to support one another
throughout their personal wellness journeys.

SYMBOLISM BEHIND OSIER

The name Osier is derived from a type of Eurasian willow that grows in wet and often volatile environments.
Known for its strong yet flexible branches, the willow bends rather than breaks in response to environmental
stress. In some cases, if a branch breaks, it can regenerate from a single replanted twig, allowing the tree to
thrive even after disruption. For Cheree, this natural resilience reflects the emotional foundation of the brand, the
belief in adaptation, recovery, and the ability to rebuild through life’s most difficult periods.

SKINCARE ROOTED IN CLEAN, ETHICAL FORMULATION
Osier extends its philosophy of healing into its approach to skincare formulation. All products are clean, cruelty-
free, and 100% vegan, developed without harsh chemicals or animal-derived ingredients.
A key differentiator for Cheree is personal necessity. With sensitive skin, she intentionally partnered with Korean
chemists and manufacturers known for gentle, effective formulations that support skin barrier health without
irritation.

Osier is also Leaping Bunny certified and verified by Sephora, reinforcing its positioning within the clean beauty
space. Its products are dermatologist tested for sensitive skin, with results supporting the brand’s commitment to
safety and efficacy.

THE PRODUCT LINE

The range includes the Comeback Cleanser, a gentle gel formula designed to clear and calm the skin without
stripping moisture, alongside the Balance Toner, which restores hydration and supports a balanced complexion.
The Recovery Ceramide Cream is formulated to strengthen the skin barrier with essential lipids and amino acids,
while the Brighter Days Vitamin C Serum helps brighten, hydrate, and improve overall tone and texture with daily
use.

SKINCARE WITH PURPOSE

A defining element of Osier’s model is its commitment to social impact. The brand donates 10% of proceeds to
support mental health and substance abuse recovery initiatives, directly extending Cheree’s long standing work
in rehabilitation into the brand itself.

Osier also partners with treatment facilities such as My Time Recovery, which has integrated Osier products into
client welcome bags as part of early stage recovery support, positioning skincare as an entry point into self-care
during the beginning stages of rebuilding routine and wellbeing.

THE VISION

For Cheree Ashley, Osier is an extension of the work she has dedicated her career to, now expressed through
skincare and daily ritual. The brand merges her passions in recovery work and everyday care, forming something
that feels personal, considered, and grounded in real life.
