Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner legit met over the internet
Generally speaking, meeting somebody you only know from the online world is kind of sketchy.
Maybe the hot guy you thought you were talking to turns out to be a middle-aged monster with a mullet or maybe it turns out that the rabid Lana Del Rey fan wasn’t joking about meeting up to perform a satanic sacrifice.
There are so many ways for your life to go from meet cute to Lifetime original movie rurl quick.
But for the sake of the pop culture exosystem, Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner aren’t worry warts and thought nothing about meeting IRL for sushi after only talking to each other on social media.

In a surprisingly delightful interview with InStyle, in which Bella also describes modeling as just a “bullshit way to become famous,” Bella decided to tell the story about how she and Kendall met.
And by she decided to, I mean she was probably asked a direct question about it.
“I met her for the first time seven years ago over Twitter,” Bella explained. “That was before we started modeling; I was probably 14 or 15. We met up and had sushi, and now we’re best friends. She’s a pretty significant human I met online.”
Which sort of begs the question, how many other humans has Bella Hadid met online? And does she call all of her friends “[insert adjective here] human,” or is Kendall just special like that?
Either way, glad Kendall turned out to be exactly who she said she was and that neither of you got mercury poisoning from the sushi!
