These Celebs REALLY Want You to Know They’re Reading Books
Once you get past a certain age, it’s borderline impossible to find time to read, unless you’re a celebrity.
Celebrities tend to have a lot of free time on their hands seeing as their only job is to stay out of trouble while giving themselves as much good publicity as they possibly can.
And you know what a really easy way to give yourself good publicity is?
Reading a book.
Or at least getting your picture taken reading a book.
Or at least taking a picture of a book.
It tells their followers they’re not just gorgeous, famous, and good at memorizing lines or posing for the camera, they’re also smart and capable of thinking about something other than themselves.
Here’s a partial list of some books celebrities REALLY want you to know they’re reading. Or at least “reading.”

Lindsay is at a turning point in her life right now where she wants to get in touch with the Middle Eastern roots she doesn’t have.
Obviously, this has resulted in a lot of interesting public stunts on Lindsay’s part such as donating energy drinks to Syrian refugees and walking around town holding the Islamic equivalent to The Bible.
When Lilo rebrands, she rebrands hard.
Emma Watson
“The Vagina Monologues”
And Emma isn’t just reading “The Vagina Monologues,” she’s so enraptured by these vaginal stories that she literally can’t stop reading it long enough to take a picture.
Because that’s just the kind of feminist she is.

I don’t know what this book is about, but it sure does look like something an English major would have seventeen million pretentious thoughts about.
