There’s a New Conspiracy Theory That Kendall and Gigi Aren’t BFFs Anymore
In the past two days, we’ve written a lot about the intricacies of Gigi’s warring friendships with Taylor Swift and Kendall Jenner, both of whom probably wouldn’t shed a tear if the other person dropped off the face of the earth tomorrow.
While we chose to see Gigi’s decision to let T Swift to third wheel on date night as a sign that she’s inching closer to pledging her full allegiance to Kendall’s squad, according to a source who contacted us, this was actually a sign that Kendall and Gigi aren’t friends anymore.
And it’s all because of Taylor.
While I’m inclined to take this with a grain of salt, I have to admit that our source laid out some very compelling evidence.
#1: Kendall and Gigi haven’t been photographed together since June, before all that shit between Taylor and Kimye went down
This is the last known photograph of Kendall and Gigi together. It’s from late June.
#2 Gigi spent the 4th of July with Taylor and not Kendall
Kendall and Taylor both spent 4th of July weekend wearing bathing suits with friends, but Gigi spent the whole time hanging out with T Swift and not commuting between Malibu and Rhode Island to play double duty.
Of course Taylor posted this photo to rub it in Kendall’s face that 2 out of Kendall’s 3 friends would rather hang out with her.
#3 Gigi didn’t go to Kylie’s birthday party
Granted, it’s not like Gigi’s BFFs with Kylie but still, Bella went.
#4 KenGi hasn’t hung out at all during fashion week, but Gigi has hung out with T Swift. Twice.
First at the Tommy Hilfiger show.
And then on date night, where Gigi playfully/cruelly let T Swift play third wheel.
Of course our source failed to include the fact that Kendall was seen going to Gigi’s apartment later that night, which could theoretically disprove this entire argument.
Although then again, Gigi could also have invited Kendall over to spit in her face or agree on a game plan for the rest of fashion month so their friendship breakup didn’t overshadow all their lucrative fashion contracts.
Or they could have just been hanging out because they’re best friends.
Honestly, it’s hard to tell because Gigi hasn’t really been hanging out with anyone or making any of her usual NYFW rounds because of an exclusive contract she has with Tommy Hilfiger right now, so even though it’s tempting to read a lot into all of this, let’s just see how the rest of fashion month plays out before we start jumping to conclusions, kay?
UPDATE:
Okay, now we’re convinced.
The feud is real.
While things looked completely normal when Kendall and Gigi were hanging backstage at Marc Jacob’s ill-advised fashion show, the rest of fashion month passed by without them spending any time together AT ALL.
Granted, Kendall was MIA for most of fashion week, but shouldn’t that have meant these BFFs should have had an extra warm and fuzzy reunion at Givenchy when Gigi had a front row seat to watch Kendall walk her ONE European runway?
But they weren’t even photographed together.
In fact, Gigi didn’t really look that happy to be there — could it be because being in the same room with Kendall is THAT painful for her?
Then again, who the fuck knows. Kendall WAS hanging out with Gigi’s little brother, soooo if something’s going on between them, clearly it’s not that deep.
