Weird, Kendall Only Walked in One Paris Fashion Show
Over the weekend, a miracle happened.
Kendall Jenner FINALLY decided to grace Paris Fashion Week with her presence, walking down the runway for Givenchy, of all designers, and Snapchatting about whether she should wear a turtleneck or a corset that day.
After weeks of speculation over WTF was going on with her, our prayers had been answered.
Kendall wasn’t quitting modeling, the fashion world hadn’t turned their backs on her, and everything was fine.
Then, Kendall’s sister got held at gunpoint and robbed and much like Kanye, Kendall decided to cancel everything else she had going on and rush back to New York to be with Kim.
After walking in exactly ONE show.
While who are we to judge Kendall for prioritizing her family over work, we just honestly STILL can’t get over the fact that she came back for Givenchy and not Balmain (which she skipped!) or Chanel (which hasn’t happened yet).
We had assumed that the reason why Kendall skipped London, Milan and Balmain were because Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel’s creative director, had booked her for an exclusive, or something. But that clearly wasn’t the case.
Like Karl would never say, “Okay Kendall, we’re giving you a boatload of money to buy your exclusivity, but you can also walk for Givenchy if you want, because YOLO.”
Maybe it’s like Vogue says and she’s just trying to work less so people make more of a fuss when she does show up, but we at Galore are puzzled. Givenchy is a random choice for this.
