Finally, a Liquid Lipstick That Won’t Dry You Out
It seems like everybody and their brother is releasing a liquid lipstick nowadays. And pretty much all of them will reduce your lips to a flakey, chapped mess after a half hour or so.
But Urban Decay’s new Vice Liquid Lipsticks are different. Not only do they stay glued to your lips for hours and hours, but they also won’t dry them out nearly as much as other liquid lipsticks.
They come in 30 shades, ranging from a chilled out light pink (Brat, pictured above) to the deepest of purples. There are also shimmery, glittery versions for the truly daring to test.

Now, here’s the thing about these liquid lipsticks: you can’t just wear the lippy on its own. As it says on the package, your best bet is to line your lips first, then add the liquid lipstick. Luckily, Urban Decay offers some pretty gorgeous lipliners in a zillion shades, too. Native would be a good match for Brat.
Also, make sure you don’t rub your lips together after applying — it can mess up the lipstick before it dries.
After it does dry, though, your lips will be good to go for hours. I wore this liquid lipstick to a brunch and beer tasting, so it got a lot of wear and tear and I only had to reapply once over the course of the whole day. There was one weird side effect: a few times, some of the pigment would ball up and it felt like there were tiny crumbs on my lips. Weird, but I’d take that over skin flakes any day.
Here’s another pro tip: coat your lips with Glossier’s Balm Dotcom before doing any of this. A barrier of balm between the color and your lips will do wonders to keep your lips from feeling like they’ve been put through a paper shredder.
