Multi-talented R&B musician and lyricist, Tink, dropped her latest album titled Thanks 4 Nothing in collaboration with Winter’s Diary,  WD Records and  EMPIRE. You might be thinking to yourself, “weren’t we just blessed with the album Pillow Talk?” It’s a wonder how Tink is able to continue to give us melodic hits that promote female empowerment and being unapologetically yourself during the highs and the lows. When asked about her work life balance for our cover story, Tink shared:

I have no balance my friend. I’ll tell you how the day goes. It’s like I wake up, go to the gym and that’s a part of work too, keeping your body right! A lot of people don’t know. It’s not just making songs and going to bed. I’m always in the studio. Literally, the studio sessions last about 8-10 hours sometimes. And then when I’m not in the studio like I said, I’m working on myself. I’m working on my body and my mind. And then you also have to go and promote the music after you create it so that means that we have to schedule out weeks at a time to be in New York, be in LA. Then you have shows. So that means you’ve gotta take two days to travel to the city, perform and then you’ve gotta travel back to finish up the album. So what I’m just tryna say is that my life is just work. You know what I mean.

We can only imagine the extent in which Tink pours herself into her craft. Making sure that her music is to her liking, but also serving as a mirror to women of all ages, Tink’s empowerment comes from being able to apply pressure and be a positive role model women can look up to. Vulnerable, candid, and aggressive, Tink sheds her many layers on her music.

As she shared, her days look like constant work. Even taking care of her mind, body and soul have to be scheduled in. Curious to know more about Tink’s wellness and beauty routines, we followed up with the R&B star and asked her for some tips.

Tink will undertake a month-long Thanks 4 Everything North American tour that is scheduled to commence on March 30, 2023. With her exceptional talents and unique perspective on relationships, Tink promises to deliver an unforgettable performance of hits from her previous albums as well as the new project. FEATURE INTERVIEW

What is your beauty routine?

My beauty routine is really simple; especially in the mornings. I like to use the cleansing foam by Lancôme. It’s a light mousse that leaves my skin soft and clean. And I follow that up with my face spray by Mario Badescu. That keeps my face hydrated all day.

What wellness practices allow you to stay balanced ?

My favorite wellness practice is yoga. I’ve been doing it for about 5 years now. It really just calms my spirit and helps me focus.

What perfume makes you feel like an empowered boss bitch?

Whenever I want to feel like an empowered boss bitch, I put on Carolina Herrera. Not only does it smell good but It comes in a tall stiletto shaped bottle. So you instantly feel feminine and bossy when you spray it.

 What defines your fashion sense?

My fashion sense has always been street-chic. I love to be comfortable and I also like to feel edgy. So I’ll mix cargo pants with heels… or thigh high boots with a hoodie. It’s urban-wear with a sophisticated twist.

Favorite fashion trends?

My favorite fashion trend right now is the ski masks … we’ve been wearing them for years in Chicago so it’s cool to see them become cute fashion pieces. At my last video shoot, I actually wore a diamond flooded ski mask. It was really hard.

Least favorite fashion trends?

My least favorite fashion trend is probably those big red boots I keep seeing on instagram -they just look hot. I would only pull them out if it was snowing.

What are some beauty tips for your fans?

My biggest beauty tip for my fans would be to drink lots and lots of water. Water is the trick to keep your face bright and smooth. It even makes your makeup look different. And it doesn’t cost a dime !!
