Casablanca’s “Amor e Progresso” Is a Love Letter to Brazil
For Spring/Summer 2027, Casablanca founder and creative director Charaf Tajer looks to Brazil with Amor e Progresso, a vibrant celebration of love, possibility and the beauty of seemingly opposing worlds coming together. Inspired by the country’s carnival, soccer culture, tropical landscapes, beaches and multicultural identity, the collection moves freely between sophistication and ease, tailoring and sportswear, structure and sensuality. Football jerseys meet sharp suits, silk wraps around swimwear, while sequins, fringe, crochet, tropical prints and flashes of neon bring the energy of Brazil to life.

The collection also marks a deeply personal full-circle moment for Tajer. Presented at Paris’ Espace Niemeyer near Belleville, where he grew up, the show draws from architect Oscar Niemeyer’s signature curves while transforming the modernist space with lush vegetation. Those architectural influences appear throughout the clothing alongside body-conscious womenswear, relaxed menswear and pieces designed to move. Ultimately, Amor e Progresso reflects Tajer’s belief that where you begin doesn’t have to determine where you end up—a joyful reminder that with work, culture, passion and love, even the impossible can become possible.
