Meet the Bachelor’s First Openly Queer Contestant

The Bachelor will never go down in history as one of the most progressive dating shows out there — Tila Tequila, we’re looking at you — but yesterday the Bachelor made history with its first openly queer contestant.

Meet Jaimi, everybody.

She’s 28, she’s a chef, and she has Carrie Bradshaw hair. But unlike Carrie Bradshaw, she doesn’t have a problem with bisexuality, because she is bisexual.

As soon as she got out of the limo, Nick knew that she was different. Namely, that she had balls, because she said she had balls.

“Literally or figuratively?” he asked, unsure of whether or not he was ready to handle her response.

And then, much to Nick’s surprise, she reached inside of her nose and revealed that she had a septum piercing. With balls on it.

And even though Jaimi didn’t let Nick know that she didn’t just have balls, she was also a bisexual during the first episode, thanks to a promo clip from ABC, we know that she does, and that he’s into it.

“Nick was really receptive to my past relationship with my ex-girlfriend,” Jaimi told the camera after telling Nick, apparently not realizing that duh, most bros are totally receptive to such things. “It felt good to kind of set the stage for the rest of my time here.”

And in fact, Nick was so receptive to Jami’s past with women that he ended up making out with her.

Steamy.

And even though Jami didn’t ride in on a camel because she heard Nick liked a good hump or step out of the limo telling Nick she already had her wedding rings picked out, she’s still in the running to get engaged on national TV to a man she’s just started dating and hasn’t even gotten to the monogamy stage with yet.

Living the dream, girl.

And hey, if it doesn’t work out with Nick on the show, you can always fall in love with one of your fellow contestants.

Best of luck to you, Jaimi.
