Did Selena Gomez Just Post a Year-Old Selfie?
This morning, while scrolling through my Instagram feed, I came across a selfie from fancy kindergartner Selena Gomez, and after pausing to pay my respects to her undeniable, cherubic beauty, an alarm in my brain went off.
Those subtly arched brows, her puckered lips, that pristine white dress all seemed so familiar.
“Wait,” I asked myself, “hasn’t Selena posted this exact same selfie before?”

Scrolling way, way back — 68 weeks back, to be exact — I finally found what I was looking for.
Although not strictly identical, if these two selfies were human children, it wouldn’t be a stretch to think they were long lost twins separated at birth.
Right?
Besides the fact Selena’s wearing a different dress in each shot, they’re almost the same.
She’s wearing the same subtle black cat eye, her eyebrow shape is unchanged and her hair still looks like it’s about to be shot for a Pantene commercial — which is odd seeing as she supposedly got a new short haircut back in December.
Honestly, without knowing all this information, you’d have no trouble believing these pictures were taken before and after Selena changed for her Pantene commercial or late night television show appearance, right?

And you know what?
This wouldn’t be the first time Selena posted nearly identical selfies over a year apart.
Granted these were actually taken on the same day, but still, Selena’s infinite Instagram feed is starting to bite its own tail.
