First it was Gigi, then it was Kendall, and now even Selena Gomez has succumbed to the most disturbing turtleneck trend of our time.
On Thursday, Selena Gomez was spotted leaving in the streets of Los Angeles wearing a turtleneck layered under a sweater. And proving our theory that not even the most youthful, beautiful, and professionally styled among us can rock this look without looking like a little kid.
Then again, when you’re looking at the world through rose-tinted glasses, every outfit you wear looks dope af.
Pairing her optimistic eyewear with a plain white turtleneck, a $695 Coach sweater, sold-out Vetements frayed denim, pale pink $230 Kurt Gieger heels, and what seems to be a Coach bag, Selena looks like an incredibly well-dressed 9-year-old borrowing her Mom’s designer purse to play grown up.
Although to give her outfit some credit, that whole looking like a chic little kid vibe underlined Coach’s classic Americana collection last season.
Plus, it’s not the sweater’s fault her outfit isn’t a slam dunk.
It’s really the turtleneck.

I mean, who doesn’t love the idea of Selena Gomez hitting the Vegan-filled streets of LA wearing a sweater that’s literally a walking TBT homage to her Barney roots?
