Miley Cyrus is trading insults with Dolce & Gabbana now

Miley Cyrus is both a supportive sister and a woke bb, and this weekend she found herself in the middle of a conflict of interest.

Her hot-in-a-granola-kind-of-way, but very unfortunately named brother Braison walked down the runway in some ugly patterned silk PJ getup, but it wasn’t any old runway, it was a Dolce & Gabbana runway. You know, the high-profile fashion label that dressed Melania Trump for New Years.

So in an effort to stay true to herself, Miley decided she’d both congratulate her brother and tell D&G how wack they are in a single Instagram post.

Well, let’s just say that D&G got the message, and they fired back accordingly.

On Sunday, Miley posted the following Instagram, part of which read as both a shining endorsement of her brother and part of which read like a not-so-subtle dig at how people who want to be models only do so because they’re not super talented at doing something else:

“Congrats @brasisonccyrus on walking in your 1st runway show…It’s never been my little brother’s dream to be a model as HE is one of the most talented musicians my ears have ever been given the gift of hearing…BUT it is a Cyrus family trait to try everything once (within reason HA) and to embrace opportunities that encourage you to step out of your comfort zone! We believe in trying something new everyday! I love you Prince Sugar Bear and seriously congratulations on your experience! I am so proud of you always…From Nashville to Italy!”

And then she couldn’t resist letting Dolce & Gabbana know that despite the love they showed her brother, she still thinks they eat ass – and not in the good way.

“PS D&G, I STRONGLY disagree with your politics…but I do support your company’s effort to celebrate young artists & give them the platform to shine their light for all to see!”

While you’d be correct in assuming any high-profile designers who decided they didn’t give a shit about dressing Melania Trump wouldn’t give a shit about some American pop star talking smack about them, Stefano Gabbana went one step further.

He talked trash about Miley right back.

First he commented on her Instagram, “for your stupid comment never more work with him,” which is kind of a bummer for Miley’s brother who didn’t ask for any of this.

And then just in case she didn’t get the message, Gabbana posted a scathing Instagram post of his own. And even though he didn’t mention Miley by name, he didn’t need to. Because he reposted the same picture of Miley’s brother from Miley’s account.

He said:

“We are Italian and we don’t care about politics and mostly neither about the American one! We make dresses and if you think about doing politics with a post it’s simply ignorant. We don’t need your posts or comments so next time please ignore us!! #boycottdolcegabbana”

And in case you were wondering, #boycottdolcegabbana isn’t an actual boycott hashtag, it’s a marketing thing. Well, technically it started as an actual boycott hashtag, but nobody did, so D&G turned it into a marketing strategy to try and sell more clothing.

Anyway, knowing Miley, this feud will become a talking point for her next round of interviews and she will certainly not ignore it, which is fine because knowing Stefano Gabbana, he’d probably rather stir up publicity for his fashion label anyway.

Hey Ryan Murphy, we got your next season of “Feud” right here.
