J. Lo and Leo DiCaprio Are Secret BFFs Who Call Each Other ‘Boo Boo’
“Carpool Karaoke” is one of those viral sensations that’s inescapable. The videos are long af, but every now and then they offer up a nugget of gold, convincing you that you didn’t just waste 13 minutes of your life.
Like how last night we found out that not only are Jennifer Lopez and Leonardo Dicaprio friends, but they also have adorable BFF nicknames for each other: Baby and Boo Boo.
Awww, they even have each other’s phone numbers and everything.
After nine minutes of pointless conversation and karaoke, James asks Jennifer who the most famous person in her phone is.
Scrolling through her phone, Jennifer Lopez coyly admits, “There’s a few,” before offering up names like Bradley Cooper, Iggy Azalea, and The Rock.
In a fit of excitement, James steals J. Lo’s phone and asks if he can send one person in her phone a text. When she asks who he has in mind, the talk show host replies, “anyone,” before adding, “shall I text Leonardo DiCaprio?”
Since they’re secretly BFFs, J.Lo doesn’t object, although she had to stop James from beginning the text with the words, “Hey Leo,” because she would never say that.
When asked how she would begin the text, Jennifer replied, “Hey, baby,” which is how James Corden got the chance to send Leo a message that read, “Hey baby, I’m kind of feeling like I need to cut loose. Any suggestions? Let me know, JLo, you know, from the block.”
Obviously, homegirl was a little mortified and was already predicting Leo would respond with a, “…Who’s this?”
Surprisingly then, within a couple of minutes, Leo replied, “You mean tonight, Boo Boo? Club-wise?”
It’s kind of endearing that he didn’t pick up on anything weird, right? Now that’s what we call friendship.
