Dolce & Gabbana Designs Burlap Pizza Dress Only a Millennial Could Love

It’s no secret that millennials love pizza and it’s no secret that luxury designer labels love millennial money.

In a runway show that already seemed like it was pandering to famous millennials, one of the most distinctive looks of the Dolce & Gabbana show is an outfit that can best be described as a burlap sack with straps and a pizza on it.

Who is going to buy this dress?

Rich millennials.

Why?

Because it’s “irreverent” and “edgy” and has that elusive Vetements quality where it looks like it probably cost $20 to make but is marked up to $2,000 to buy. Plus, millennials love to enhance their devil-may-care personal brands by loudly proclaiming allegiance to pizza. It’s weird, no one gets it, we just do it.

Also because no grown person would ever wear a burlap sack dress with a pizza on it, besides Katy Perry who will literally wear anything that looks remotely whimsical, which makes the dress even cooler, right?

Right?

Eh.

Time will tell whether the kids will flock to the burlap sack dress or roll their eyes back into the head and mutter to themselves, “Dolce & Gabbana, you’re trying too hard, man.”

Fingers crossed its the first option though because that means it’s only a matter of time before burlap sack dresses start trickling down to all the discount stores and EVERYBODY starts wearing them.

Now that’s a fashion moment to literally gag over.
