Carson Aday’s Sly Throwback Single “Time Will Heal”

Carson Aday, the indie pop sensation, was born in the vibrant musical landscape of Dallas, Texas, but it was in Landstuhl, Germany, on June 17th, 2002, where he first drew breath. At just 16 years old, Carson’s musical journey took an unexpected turn when his father stumbled upon a keyboard on Facebook Marketplace, sparking a passion that led Carson to compete internationally for classical piano within six months of picking up the instrument. Inspired by the likes of Albert Hammond Jr. of The Strokes, Carson’s love for music blossomed, propelling him to teach himself to play guitar, drums, and bass, and to infuse his poignant lyrics with personal experiences and hypothetical scenarios.

Enough with the introductions… Now, let’s dive into Carson’s latest release, the brilliant track titled “Time Will Heal.” In my humble opinion, this song is quite possibly the best way to acquaint yourself with his boundless, sharp talent and exceptional songwriting prowess, if you haven’t already.

Through its use of electric guitars and 80s synths, “Time Will Heal” weaves a tale of comforting a girl amidst her breakup while subtly hinting at the desire to get closer to her. This combination creates an immersive experience that captures not only the emotional turmoil but also the hidden motives behind someone’s actions in such situations.

This track is superbly constructed and mastered with the crispiest, most delightful sound I’ve heard so far this year, which is a particularly great way to appreciate all the little intricacies of Carson’s guitar. Though this song is unabashedly “retro” in some regards, it is far from derivative or a ‘nostalgia bait’, holding on to its genuine identity as a clever and smooth indie pop-rock.

Carson Aday’s musical journey is a testament to the power of passion and determination, marked by unexpected encounters and an unbridled love for music. From competing internationally for classical piano to delivering captivating performances at renowned venues, Carson’s story embodies the spirit of embracing the unexpected and infusing raw authenticity into his art.
