I love celebrities 10x more than the average hunk of flesh walking on this earth, but there’s one thing they do that really gets my goat.
That annoying thing is: swearing their biggest beauty tip to share with the world is drinking water.
And of course, it’s always the most beautiful celebs who peddle this line around town like they’re getting paid for it, which of course in some cases they are.
If you read celebrity interviews like it’s your job, you’ve probably noticed this too. And if you haven’t, you will now, because it happens a lot.
Now, I’m not here to try and tell you drinking water won’t make your skin look better, because it genuinely might help you not break out as much, but it’s not a miracle worker.
I don’t know about you, but no matter how much water I drink, if I’m not using my face washes and creams and moisturizers every day, my face would not look okay.
These celebs who say all they need to do is drink water to look flawless all make me look like I’m a direct descendant of the Crypt Keeper.
Now, obviously, all these celebrities have access to two things I don’t have access to — good genes and the hookups to the best laser procedures and plastic surgeons in town — but let’s be real, there are plenty of other things making their skin look great than just drinking water.
Maybe they don’t want to be honest about what products they’re really using because they cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars, or even worse, aren’t the same products they get paid thousands or even millions of dollars to promote, but that’s a mystery for another time.
For now, let’s just focus on what we do know: the sheer number of celebrities who swear water is the one beauty secret they couldn’t possibly go to the grave keeping to themselves.
