What your most streamed song of the year says about you
An interactive site called Your 2017 Wrapped is trending all over Facebook right now. Basically, people are using it to find out which songs they streamed the most on Spotify this year.
And despite the fact that no white men were nominated for album of the year for this years Grammy awards, the top streamed songs list is filled with them. Oh well. Guess the rest of the world isn’t as into SZA as we are in the U.S.

Regardless, you probably caught yourself binge listening to these dangerously catchy tunes. But if one of them popped up as your most-listened-to song, what does it say about you? Allow us to explain.
1. Ed Sheeran – “Shape Of You”
Unlike the majority of us, you probably had a pleasant 2017. You didn’t have any catastrophes happen, and you somehow managed to dodge the emotional destruction of this years MULTIPLE retrogrades. In fact, you probably don’t care much about astrology at all. The best memories of the year for you involved dancing to this song at various rooftop barbecues.
2. Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee – “Despacito (ft. Justin Bieber)”
You probably spent many nights twisted off tequila. But most importantly, you were probably the person in your liberal arts seminar who argued that cultural appropriation isn’t that bad.
3. Luis Fonsi – “Despacito (ft. Daddy Yankee)”
You probably snapped back to person #2 and told them this was the correct version. You spent your year reminding all of your Facebook friends that people are still protesting the DAPL, and calling out Trump on all of his policies.

4. The Chainsmokers – “Something Just Like This (ft. Coldplay)”
You probably blasted this song at every function held by your sorority, and you most likely had no clue who Coldplay was before hearing this song.
5. DJ Khaled – “I’m The One (ft. Justin Bieber, Quavo, Lil Wayne and Chance The Rapper)”
You made a bunch of new friends this year, and in very different places. For example, you bonded with your new brunch buddy over a downward dog during Wednesday morning yoga, and found someone who hates Katy Perry as strongly as you do over happy hour tequila shots.
6. Kendrick Lamar – “Humble.”
Everyone in your social circle had a terrible year, but yours was filled with Cardi B level success. Even though they all can’t stop praising you, you’re not letting the fame get to your head.

7. Kygo – “It Ain’t Me (ft. Selena Gomez)”
You had some difficult challenges to face this year, but you didn’t let them ruin your bubbly spirit. You are a little bummed, however, that most of your rave besties decided to fall into the mainstream. Coachella? Nope.
8. French Montana – “Unforgettable (ft. Swae Lee)”
This year wasn’t that dramatic for you, and pretty much followed the same pattern as all of the others. You work hard during the week in your steady hustle, then party it all of during the weekend with your longtime friends.

9. Bruno Mars – “That’s What I Like”
You kept it pretty low-key for the past 3-4 years, but this year you made a huge comeback. You landed an envious new job, and traveled all around the world. You go!
10. ZAYN & Taylor Swift – “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever”
This was the year of the hoe for you, but most of your partners were drastically different from the others. You stepped out of your comfort zone, and hooked up with tons of people you didn’t think were your type.
