Gossip Girl’s Savannah Smith is a Trailblazer

You may recognize our latest cover girl, Savannah Smith, from the HBO Max series, Gossip Girl. Savannah embodies all things Galore; beauty, poise and talent. Not only is she in Gossip Girl, but she will be in three films, one of which will premiere this year. Savannah landed the lead role in latest musical film SOMETHING HERE. We can’t wait for the film to be released so that we can learn the songs and sing along with her. In fact, Savannah also hopes to reconnect with the parts of her that loves the genuine, creative adventure of song writing. We can’t wait to listen to her future musical works! You play a queer character on the show, how does that make you feel and how important is that to you?
It’s extremely important to me as I am bisexual myself. Not only do I get to represent my community being a black woman, but in addition I get to represent my community in a larger way. It has been incredibly rewarding.

What’s your favorite TikTok trend?
I don’t know but right now I’m really obsessed with all the videos of people getting sturdy because its my toxic trait that I genuinely believe one day I will just be able to do it.
What’s next for you and what projects do you have for the new year?
I have three films coming out in 2023 including a musical film I did last year called SOMETHING HERE. I am really excited to finally share it with the world as it was my first film and I got to sing outside of my bedroom and shower for once. Other than that, and still on the topic of music, I am planning on finally getting into the studio and reconnecting with making my own music.
