An OG Squad Member Now Swears She’s Not That Close With T Swift
Taylor Swift is in the middle of a massive image rehabilitation, where posting cute cat videos is playing a highly central role, but it looks like she was too late to save the integrity of her squad.
In a recent interview for Seventeen, OG squad member Hailee Steinfeld let this bomb drop: “I think people think we spend a lot more time together than we actually do!â€
Although to save face and not look like a total traitor, Hailee added in a quick, “She’s amazing, though,†but the damage was already done.
Can you really blame her, though?
Being seen as one of Taylor Swift’s close friends is no longer the positive association it used to be, so it makes sense that some of her friends that were primarily in it for the good PR might start fading away into the sunset, saying they’ll remember T, standing in a nice dress, staring at the sunset, babe.
We jokingly implied that Taylor Swift’s squad was about to start cracking apart before our very eyes last month, but in light of recent events (i.e. Kimyegate), maybe we were actually onto something.
After all, only four members of the squad came to Taylor’s defense when the everybody was calling her a snake.
Hailee was not one of them, and after this magazine hits the stands in September, she’ll probably be dead to Taylor and her loyalists.
R.I.P. OG Squad
But don’t worry.
We’ll never forget you, or the many fashion trends you ruined.
