Myke Towers: From Puerto Rico to Hollywood
Myke Towers is from Puerto Rico and proud.
While rising as a star in the Latin music scene, he’s teamed up with other Latin superstars like Becky G, Farruko, and Bad Bunny.
And now, in 2020, he’s released his sophomore album, Easy Money Baby—which is one of his favorite phrases to say when life is good, but is also a tribute to his son that was born just 20 days before the album’s release.
Myke reportedly named his son, Shawn Lucas, after Jay Z (whose real name is Shawn). He also cites Bob Marley, Don Omar, Michael Jackson, and Drake as some of his musical influences, and the album’s sounds are just as varied as his favorite artists. Plus, he samples some OG tracks that you probably loved in your younger years, like 50 Cent’s “21 Questions” and Manu Chao’s “Me Gusta Tu.”
For the ladies, there’s also “LVCC,” a track that Myke told Billboard is one “that boyfriends, husbands, or sugar daddies can dedicate to their girls.” Or, “La Playa,” which is something you might wanna add to your “get freaky” playlist.
We caught Myke Towers in LA to snag some awesome shots in the heart of Hollywood. Check them out below.
