‘Kocktails With Khloé’ Is Dunzo
Arguably one of the weirdest talk shows ever to exist, “Kocktails With Khloé,” is coming to an untimely end, TMZ reported today.
After less than three months of laughs, the show — which featured Khloé feeding drinks to a random assortment of guests with barely any script or outline to the episode at all — is over. There are still a few more eps left, TMZ says, including a finale with Chrissy Teigen, Kim Kardashian, and Kanye West, which is sure to be lit. But production is done.
And the breakup was mutual, according to TMZ:
We’re told Khloe wanted to focus on her “other jobs” and had no interest in shooting the next season. Network execs could tell she’d “checked out” and weren’t happy about it.
This is a huge bummer. Because when we say “Kocktails With Khloé” was weird and random, we mean that in the best way possible. The show didn’t rely on hacky one-liners and laugh tracks the way most talk shows do. Instead, it was just a bunch of people of varying levels of fame talking to each other about whatever came up. It was like watching a live-action podcast, only everyone talking is actually interesting.
And because of the show’s shapeless format, celebrities really opened up and did things they’d normally never do. Remember when Snooki appeared on the show, blacked out, and reminded Khloé of how horrendously she’d shaded her when they first met? Remember when Kendall pranked Kim by calling her and saying she was pregnant, and Kim was like, “Honestly shut up I’m tired”? So many fun moments.
We will truly miss “Kocktails.” Sidenote: this, combined with news that Blac Chyna will soon be known as Angela Kardashian, makes for a not-very-chill news day in Kardashian land. Is this the fall of Rome or what?! Kris Jenner needs to get back from vacation.
