Kendall Jenner Finally Landed Her First US Vogue Cover

After years of waiting, Kendall Jenner finally landed her own American Vogue cover.

And it’s not just any cover, it’s the cover of the September Issue.

You know, the one issue that’s so famous it has its own documentary.

Not to brag or anything, but we totally called that this was going to happen two months ago when we found out that Anna Wintour made Kendall Jenner get a bob.

The last time Anna Wintour made a celebrity get a bob, it was Taylor Swift, and that little piece of obedience got her a cover, and she’s not even a supermodel.

Obviously, Kendall is very excited about her career milestone, and could barely contain her enthusiasm on Instagram, saying, “in a room with a bunch of poeple I love, looking at this cover made me cry. I FUCKING DID IT. SEPTEMBER VOGUE. this is the coolest thing ever! can’t thank you enough Anna, for giving me the honor.”

In the accompanying cover story, Kendall spends a bit of time discussing the paparazzi, even though they mysteriously weren’t following her on the day somebody from Vogue came to interview her.

“I love that no one followed us,” she breezily informs her journalist companion, “It’s almost, like, empowering to know that no one knows we’re sitting here right now—because it’s not usually like this. Every day, I have to find a way to escape; I have to go borrow someone else’s car. Sometimes it takes me an hour to figure out how to get rid of these guys who have been following me all day. And the second that I feel it getting the better of me, I have to go chill myself out—go take a bath or something to, like, disconnect from it. It keeps you real and sane and humble.”

Although, she also couldn’t quite understand why nobody was following them. “Is there someone more interesting around? Like, is Beyoncé in town?” Kendall asked.

Later, after one round of miniature golf, a game which Kendall is apparently terrible at, Kendall heads back to Kris’s mansion, where Kris makes her interviewer an incredibly strong cocktail.

“Mom, that glass is huge,” says Kendall. “And it’s a little full, no?”

“Well, I know, sweetie,” Kris replies, “but sometimes we get thirsty.”

Amen.

At the house Kendall eats a freshly baked brownie, reveals that she used to sneak out of the house to sleep over at her boyfriend’s house, and tells a story about how one time she woke up at 4 AM in the morning for a water and saw her dad “coming down the stairs in, like, a wig and makeup and shoes-the full nine,” which was apparently what Bruce used to do most mornings before it was time to take the kids to school.
