How was the cover shoot?
It was amazing! Very collaborative… Galore’s given me pretty much every opportunity to make decisions that determine what we’re going to do for the shoot. I got to pick the style, make-up artist, who was going to shoot it. It was cool. It felt like when I put together shoots for myself.
That’s cool. You’re like a very multi-faceted human being. You model, you take photos, you dance, you’re in a band now… what did you want to be when you were younger?
I don’t think that I knew what I wanted to be. I tried everything… I tried sports… my parents really pushed for me to find something that I liked cause I was kind of a late starter. I didn’t learn to ride a bike until I was 8 or 9, I didn’t want to swim until around the same age. Once I got to middle school a bunch of girls were taking these dance classes in town, and I just decided to do it because it sounded fun. I didn’t want to be doing tennis anymore. My sister and I would always fuck around on my dads camera. I definitely always knew I wanted to perform.

And I just saw on your door you’ve got some ballet shoes like hanging… and you told me that you trained ballet.
I went to a Russian Conservatory in high school for I think 3 or 4 years, because I decided my freshman year of high school I was going to go to college for dance.
