The ‘Broad City’ Girls Want You to Know They’re Still Not Endorsing Hillary

Hillary Clinton made a cameo appearance on “Broad City” last night — but the show’s stars Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson want you to know that for them, RTs (or show appearances) do not equal endorsements.

At SXSW, the comedians talked about the appearance and Abbi swore they “weren’t trying to make a political statement,” the Daily Beast reports.

“Regardless of where we stand—and we love Hillary—Hillary is such an iconic figure,” Abbi said. “That’s someone that, being around someone like that, these girls being around her is not an everyday thing. That’s how we felt being around her. It was like, ‘Oh, this is a different world.’”

“Because she’s this icon,” Ilana added. “We’re trying to make really good TV. I think you’ll watch the episode and think you’ll agree that it’s a great episode of TV.”

But ladies, what’s wrong with making a political statement? Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan did! And if there are two celebs that everyone should emulate, it’s got to be them.

People who insist they don’t want to take a stand on sex, religion, or politics are boring af and we know Abbi and Ilana are NOT that. Or hey, maybe they’re just down-low Bernie bros and he was busy the day they shot this.

Either way, Abbi got to say “I pegged” to Hillary Clinton on national TV, so at least there’s that.
