FEATURE INTERVIEW:

For those who’ve never heard of Azzy Milan, how would you introduce yourself to them?

I would describe myself as bubbly and full of life, but also an old soul at heart. I’m very girly and love expressing my femininity, while still being smart, driven and carrying myself with poise. I’m all about being authentic to my true self and displaying that you can be soft, stylish, and strong all at once.

Growing up must have been insane for you, knowing who your father is. What is a favorite memory of yours when you think back to your childhood?

Absolutely. Growing up with such a public figure in my household could be overwhelming for some, but for me, my dad is truly my best friend. We spend a lot of quality one-on-one time together. From movie nights, sushi dates, even shopping trips. Our relationship is very close, fun and genuine. There have been countless laughs and special moments throughout my childhood, and that bond has always been the foundation of our connection.

Do you visit Puerto Rico often? For those who’ve never been, what’s a couple things they must do when visiting the island?

Yes, I try to visit Puerto Rico a couple of times each year. It’s a place my family and I hold very close to our hearts. Being from New York, I always take advantage of the sunshine and get my tanning in before heading back north. A must stop before the airport is España Bakery, they’re a family favorite. Another gem is La Casita Blanca, a beloved spot for over 30 years with a warm, homey feel and some of the best arroz con gandules you’ll ever have.

You also have Colombian and Cuban heritage as well. What are some of your favorite dishes from these cultures?

I absolutely love Colombian cuisine. I spent many summers growing up with my grandmother in Pereira, and nothing compares to Colombian pastries and coffee their breakfast culture is truly unmatched. A morning Bandeja Paisa with eggs is a dream. Growing up in Miami also introduced me to amazing Cuban flavors, especially croquetas and classic jamón y queso sandwiches.

Even though your father goes hard about NYC, you’re a Miami girly as well. What is a fun summer day like in Miami for you and your girls?

Both cities hold a special place in my heart, but Miami is the perfect destination for a girls trip. My ideal day would start with a Pilates class, followed by a relaxing beach day at a beach club. Then it’s time to get dressed up, do a little shopping at Bal Harbour and ending the evening at Makoto, my favorite sushi spot ever! Their spicy tuna on crispy rice is truly the best out there.

You have a deep love for fashion and it shows with how effortlessly you put pieces together. When did you start exploring fashion and what has drawn you to it?

Fashion has always been a central part of my life. Both of my parents are very stylish and growing up, I was always inspired by how they took pride in getting dressed for any occasion, even something as simple as a trip to the gas station. They also encouraged me to develop my own personal style from an early age. For me, fashion is more than purses and shoes, it’s a form of self expression and a creative outlet.

What’s some of your fave high end and low end brands to rock?

One of my strengths in fashion is my ability to mix high and low pieces. I love finding great staple basics from brands like Akira, Fashion Nova, and Zara. They’re perfect for layering and adding personality to a look. At the same time, I’ve always been a Chanel girl. Lately, I’ve also been loving Acne Studios and Loewe this season.

Let’s get into your new podcast “Az If!!. Talk to us about how this came about and what viewers can expect from your show.

Az If!!” is my newest project. A fun and girly podcast designed for you and your homegirls to watch, laugh, and share opinions on everything from fashion hits and misses to the thoughts we all have but don’t always say out loud. It’s filmed in my closet, surrounded by my latest looks, and the goal is for it to feel like a relaxed FaceTime conversation where we can talk honestly and have fun together.

With “Az If!!” covering everything from fashion, pop culture and all things Azzy Milan, who are some guests you’d love to bring on your show this year?

I have a very ambitious vision for both the show and the overall Azzy Milan brand. I’ve had the honor of connecting with Law Roach at a few fashion events and he would be an incredible guest, he’s truly an icon. Rihanna is also a major inspiration for me, she’s the ultimate mood board. I also think Teyana Taylor would be a fantastic guest. Her creativity, style and energy is everything to me.

Being only 19 years old and accomplishing so much is not only aspiring but motivational to women of all ages and backgrounds. What advice can you give to teenagers looking to dive into their passions like you have?

Start before you feel ready and stay consistent, even on the days you doubt yourself. Protect your vision, surround yourself with people who support your growth, and don’t be afraid to take up space. Your passion will make room for you, just show up for it every day with confidence and a little glitter.

What are 3 things that stay in your purse no matter what?

Lip liner, gloss and a good fragrance mini, because you can’t look good without smelling good. Scent is the finishing touch, so even if I’m running around all day, those three keep me feeling put together.

What’s one thing you’re most looking forward to accomplishing in 2026?

Really stepping into my next era, bold and unapologetically. Expanding my voice, brand and the spaces I show up in. I want everything I do in 2026 to feel intentional, elevated and aligned with the woman I’m becoming.

Leave Galore readers with one piece of fashion advice.

Honestly, just wear it. Life’s too short to save outfits for later. If it makes you feel cute, confident or a little unstoppable, that’s already the look.
