Anne Hathaway’s taking on a new role as mom, and reprising another one that’s an oldie, but goodie.
12 years have gone by since the last installment of The Princess Diaries was released, the teen romantic comedy responsible for putting Anne Hathaway on the map in 2001, but it seems we haven’t heard the last of Mia Thermopolis.
“I was with Anne Hathaway a couple weeks ago, it looks like we want to do ‘Princess Diaries 3’ in Manhattan,” Gary Marshall, the franchise director, told People Magazine.
“Anne Hathaway is very pregnant, so we have to wait until she has the baby and then I think we’re going to do it.”
No word on whether Star Trek hottie Chris Pine will join the cast once again, but let’s hope he does, ’cause that’s the happy ending I’m trying to see.
