Apple Music Wants Alexander Wang To Be Your New Fav DJ
Apple Music’s latest weapon against Spotify recruit is fashion designer Alexander Wang, the first in Apple’s latest initiative recruiting fashion influencers to curate playlists for the streaming platform.
Wang is notorious for throwing insane celebrity-filled parties and loves music, so this isn’t a surprising choice, but who would’ve guessed that he loves Skepta, London’s latest underground Grime music export?
“This playlist is a compilation of songs I’ve used in previous runway shows to get me up out of my chair,” Wang writes in the description of his “Hype” playlist. “[The playlist includes everything] from ‘Throw It Down’ to ‘F**k the Summer Up’ to now-modern classics like ‘Jungle Bae,’ which we play every single time we get out of the party bus at Coachella.”
