This Company Advertised With Fake Kylie Tweets & Kylie’s Pissed

Last week, a company tried to drum up some social media buzz for themselves by advertising with what turned out to be fake Kylie tweets, and Kylie’s not happy about it.

According to the fake tweets, Kylie tweeted at Good&Co, an app that analyzes people’s personalities to match them with companies to work for, “Lowkey hate seeing ads that don’t apply to me. Keep getting promos for Good & Co, an app that helps people get jobs. Lol no thanks.”

To which they responded, “Sorry you have to deal with our ads, but we’re here to hep people! (We can’t all get paid off selfies and FitTea promotions.”

“Are the tweets real,” Good&Co wrote on its site. “Like most life-altering events, the origin of these Tweets are elusive and hard to explain.”

Only it’s not actually hard to explain because the tweets are fake af — Kylie said so herself.

And even if she hadn’t posted that, anybody who spent two minutes researching the event could easily tell it was fake because even a social media savvy middle schooler could probably have done a better job at making this seem legit.

In a post on their website, Good&Co write that on November 29th, the screenshots “mysteriously appeared on Tumblr” in “the wee hours of dawn,” which makes absolutely zero sense seeing as the tweets are time stamped at 4:44 and 4:51 PM on November 21st.

Given the combined LOL and shade factors of these tweets, if they’d really gone up on November 21st, one to hundreds of Kylie Jenner stans would have taken a screenshot and even if the exchange didn’t quite go viral, people would have known about it immediately.

There’s no way it took the only person who caught their exchange, which had to have been online for at least 7 minutes before Kylie deleted her post, eight days to figure out they were sitting on a goldmine and then post it to Tumblr.

And Good&Co can’t even manage a proper explanation, just a post that vaguely addresses what went down before turning into a quiz called “Find Out Which Kylie Lip Kit Fits Your Personality!”

Obviously, seeing as it was all for the publicity so Good&Co dgaf about making everything look 100, but in the words of a famous wise man from Baltimore, if you come at the king, you best not miss.
