#ManCrushMonday: Christopher Meyer On Meeting Girls At The Grocery Store
When cutie Christopher Meyer isn’t on the Fox series “Wayward Pines,” he’s acting in cool films like Kicks and Wolves, which both premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival this year. You may have even spotted him in the hilarious Hyundai Genesis Super Bowl commercial with Kevin Hart this past February.
You probably already think Chris is a keeper, but once you read about his Venetian dream date and why he likes meeting girls at the grocery store (rather than on Tinder) you’re going to think he’s even cuter.
You’re appearing in the film Kicks, what’s your dream pair of shoes?
Oh man… My dream pair of kicks would have to be either the Jordan Aqua 8’s (which I just acquired) or the Air Yeezy 2.
The film also has a dope soundtrack, what’s your favorite track?
Easily Biggie’s “Party & Bullshit.” I think it so beautifully captures the essence of our film. Growing up in Brooklyn, he was like a king to us.
You were born in NYC but grew up in Florida. What did you miss the most about city life?
I’ll tell you like I tell people who’ve never been to New York: there is nothing like the energy in New York City. That feeling when you’re walking through the skyscrapers and everyone around you is rushing towards a meeting makes you feel like you can accomplish anything, [it] gives me super powers.
Who’s your dream co-star?
Well honestly, I’d probably be their co-star at this point, but either Shia LaBeouf or Michael B. Jordan. I think we could bang out a classic piece of art.
Where is your favorite place to meet girls? Why?
Um, probably the grocery store. I feel like everyone’s guard is down at the grocery store. It’s the place where no one is afraid of how they look and are generally happy to buy new stuff. What better time to meet a human being?
How would you slide into a cute girl’s DMs?
Ohh… depends. Usually with something funny. Maybe a meme pertaining to one of their tweets, or just by showing genuine love for whatever they’re about.
What’s the sexiest thing a girl has ever said to you?
It was in Spanish, I wouldn’t know, but it sure sounded great.
What advice would you give your younger self about girls?
Usually, people would say “be yourself,” but I’ve never had that problem. But, I was always attracted to older women, so I would lie about my age. I would tell myself not to do that. It would be so much cooler if you could get the girl without having to lie.
What’s your dating deal breaker?
I’m pretty open. If I had to choose one thing, it would probably be your dreams & how you go about accomplishing them.
Have you ever gotten back with an ex? Why or why not?
Yes. You know… Things happen.
Where would you take your dream girl on a date?
Easy. On a boat ride through the water streets of Venice, Italy, where we can drink wine & admire the beauty of the city & each other’s company.
