Vilde Tuv Releases New LP, Shares “Life Experience” Single + Video
Norwegian cult artist Vilde Tuv is unveiling her debut English-language LP, “Truthbomb“, set for release on September 19th via Poesy Records. Alongside the announcement, Tuv shares the album’s focus track, “Life Experience” — a majestic, hypnotic, flute-driven meditation.Vilde Tuv—the experimental and avant-garde tour de force was hailed as, “Norway’s finest one-woman orchestra.” With support from genre-shaping figures like Smerz and Jenny Hval, and standout performances at international festivals including Le Guess Who?, Vilde has carved out a bold, uncompromising space in the world of experimental pop.
She brings a singular blend of sincerity and sonic exploration that recently earned her Electronic Album of the Year at Norway’s prestigious Spellemann Awards. Tuv has earned support from Earmilk, Pop Dust, FAME and more. Hailed as “Norway’s finest one-woman orchestra,” and known for her bold, genre-defying fusion of sincerity and experimentation, Tuv has carved out a unique space in the Nordic avant-garde, with support from artists like Smerz and Jenny Hval, and appearances at international festivals including Le Guess Who?.
Earlier this summer, she unveiled a new chapter in her sonic journey—singing in English for the first time—on the singles “Morning Wind” and “Solace in the Sun”. She also released a remix CD of “Solace in the Sun,” featuring Merely (Year0001) and DJ IBON (Bunkerbauer). Produced and arranged by Tuv herself, Truthbomb also features contributions from collaborators like Niilas, Mira Thiruchelvam, and Henriette Motzfeldt (Smerz). It’s a rhythmic and emotionally charged evolution from her award-winning 2021 album Melting Songs, bridging the ambient beauty of that work with the physicality of her earlier debut, D’meg (2016).
With “Truthbomb”, Vilde Tuv doesn’t just shift languages — she opens new emotional and sonic portals, inviting listeners into a space that is vulnerable, vivid, and entirely her own. Reflecting on the album, Tuv shares, ““I love exploring how melodies without words can move us. I’ve tried to create a space for forgiveness, safety, and comfort. I want my music to be a place where people can reconnect with their bodies and dare to admit to themselves what is true.” To celebrate the release, Tuv will embark on an 8-stop Scandinavian tour this fall.
