FEATURE INTERVIEW
Tell us about your Netflix show with Zoe Saldana.
I can’t say much yet, only that the show is coming out on October 21 2022 and that it is based on the best selling novel ‘From Scratch’ and it’s a Hello Sunshine aka Reese Witherspoon production. I can’t wait!
You just released a sunglasses collab with Aperçu. (Congratulations!) How did this come about?
I recently just realized I had DMed the Aperçu team on IG back in 2020 once they launched their first collab with the Suarez sisters and I immediately thought ‘Wow these are so cool I have to make one as well’. I don’t know how and why but as soon as I saw those images I knew that I was going to do a collaboration with them. Sunglasses are by far my fave accessories and so it felt like the most natural thing to work on one. I literally will not leave the house without sunglasses and I like to wear a different pair every day. I think wearing cool sunnies just makes me feel like my outfits are more complete and it’s also a fun way to play with fashion.
How do you like living in Los Angeles? What do you miss about italy?
LA has become home now. I’ve been here for 10 years and I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. It’s funny I don’t miss my home country this much, just the food and night walks!
You’re in the global fashion scene, what’s exciting to you right now when it comes to fashion?
I’m excited for fashion month this season, I feel like it’s going to be at its full force again for the first time after COVID so I cannot wait to experience that. I also love that with my job I get to meet super inspiring and unique artists, it is truly magical when it happens.
Tell us about the inspiration for this cover shoot.
I wanted it to be a bit dark and sexy, lots of leather and intense makeup. We went for a modern Pamela Anderson in Barb Wire and the whole female superhero attitude.
Who’s your fashion icon?
Bella Hadid, hands down. I think she’s super iconic. I just read an article on The Cut the other day that called her style ‘the weird-girl aesthetic’ and I couldn’t identify with it more.
Your favorite actor and actress?
I’ve been obsessed with Paul Dano since Little Miss Sunshine. He’s one of the most underrated actors we have. I hope he gets more and more recognition after having played Riddler in the new Batman. I also love Margot Robbie. I think she’s as beautiful as talented and in this industry it’s very rare.
Describe yourself in 3 words.
Empathetic, curious, self-motivated.
What can we expect next from you?
I wrote a pilot and I really really want to get into producing my own materials, I feel like it’s the next step for me.
