Victoria Beckham’s Brand Is So Much Cooler Than Her Kids’ Sappy Mother’s Day Posts
Yesterday was Mother’s Day in England, and the Beckham family celebrated the holiday in a multitude of adorable ways, all of which might have made Victoria secretly cringe since her personal brand has always led us to believe she’s not all about sappy Hallmark holidays. And they even Instagrammed it!
Listen, everybody has to post sappy stuff about their mom to social media on Mother’s Day. It’s basically a rule. But what about when your mom is a former ex-Spice Girl who says shit like: “I don’t want to be seen smiling, having fun, or eating.”
And shit like: “I’d definitely spit in food if I worked in a restaurant. I’d spit in Eddie Murphy’s food, definitely. I’d chop his dick off too.”
And: “Drink whatever you like, just so long as it coordinates with your nail varnish.”
But Victoria’s family didn’t let that stop them from posting the typical sappy Mother’s Day tributes.
First we have David Beckham’s post. He took a picture of their kids Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 13, Cruz, 11, and Harper, 4, bending over in tandem to smell some flowers, and added a caption saying the kids are basically his favorite thing about her. It probably sounded nice in his head.
Then Brooklyn grammed a photo of his mama on a hike, thanking her for being an amazing “mum.”
Happy Mother’s Day mum.You love, protect and inspire me every day.I love you so much X

Now we know Victoria — or at least we know the Victoria who appeared in “Spice World” and the groundbreaking reality series “Victoria Beckham: Coming to America.” And she is not down with soft, earnest displays of social media affection.
So listen Beckham kids, even though your mom is suddenly okay with wearing flats, next year, just celebrate Mother’s Day by mixing her up a nice martini and leaving her alone. That’s what she would want.
