Where did you grow up and what was it like in those early years of your life?
I grew up immersed in the world of fashion and beauty from an early age. Our home even had a dedicated beauty room, reflecting my family’s deep appreciation for aesthetics. I started modeling and participating in runway shows as a child, which profoundly influenced my understanding of style and elegance. Alongside this glamorous environment, my mother’s unconventional spirituality was a guiding force, instilling in me a sense of pride and self-expression that transcended traditional boundaries. This unique blend of beauty and spirituality shaped me to embrace my truth confidently and creatively.
How did your mother Lala Inuti Ahari’s spiritual empire influence the woman you are today?
My mother’s groundbreaking approach to spirituality and her courage to defy conventions deeply influenced me. Her legacy of embracing and celebrating individuality has inspired me to pursue my own path with confidence and conviction, shaping both my personal and professional endeavors.
What is your philosophy on spirituality?
I am a firm believer in embracing both the light and the shadow aspects of spirituality, striving for balance between them. To me, spirituality isn’t solely about love and light; it’s also about acknowledging and integrating the darker, more challenging elements of the self. This holistic approach fosters true self-awareness and inner harmony, allowing for a more profound and authentic spiritual journey.
Where does your username on Instagram “Tina the Witch” stem from?
“Tina the Witch” represents an alter ego I created to boldly and unapologetically express my spirituality and way of life. While many spiritual influencers remain within their niche communities, I wanted to make a statement by extending my presence into broader spaces. I’m not one to play it safe, and with multiple alter egos, this persona allows me to embody a fearless, rebellious spirit while remaining graceful and grounded.
What was the inspiration behind your lingerie line Tèn? What separates your brand from the rest?
Tèn was inspired by the sensual and alluring aspects of my Scorpio nature. I adore the feeling of going to sleep looking and feeling glamorous and waking up with that same confidence. I’ve always had a passion for lingerie and sexy loungewear, and Tèn embodies this love by creating pieces that make everyone feel effortlessly beautiful and captivating. The brand stands out for its dedication to blending elegance with a touch of bold sensuality, ensuring that every design enhances both comfort and allure.
A few years ago, your family had its own reality TV show, “The Conjure Family”. Talk to us about the show and your overall experience of sharing your life with the world.
“The Conjure Family” offered a glimpse into our unique and crazy world, blending family dynamics with spiritual practices. Sharing our lives publicly was both exhilarating and challenging, providing a platform to demystify our practices while embracing our personal journey.
Aside from your passion for spirituality, you also love fashion. How would you define your fashion style?
As a Libra rising, I’m naturally drawn to elegant and flowy pieces that embody grace and sophistication. Yet, my Scorpio influences push me towards the daring, dark, and sleek. I revel in the challenge of balancing these contrasting energies to create a style that is both alluring and refined.
What are a few statement fashion pieces every woman should have when building her wardrobe?
A well-rounded wardrobe should include a quintessential little black dress, a versatile bodysuit or shapewear, statement heels that command attention, and delicate yet distinctive accessories or jewelry. These essentials not only offer versatility but also provide a foundation for creating chic and polished looks.
What’s next for Tina Marie Ahari for the remainder of 2024?
In 2024, I am poised to officially launch my lingerie brand, Tèn, to the public, marking a significant milestone in my entrepreneurial journey. Additionally, I plan to increase my presence on social media platforms, particularly TikTok, to offer a more intimate look into my life, business, and family. This year will also see me engaging more actively with media through magazine publications and interviews, further sharing my vision and experiences with a broader audience. Each of these steps is a deliberate move towards expanding my brand and deepening my connection with my community.
