Spencer Pratt Has Opinions on Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston
ICYMI, yesterday British tabloid The Sun broke the news that Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston were caught in Rhode Island, kissing on top of a rock on the beach.
Almost immediately, people began speculating/recognizing that the pictures were completely fake and staged, so Cosmopolitan decided to call in an expert: Spencer Pratt.
Spencer Pratt practically wrote the book on calling the paparazzi on yourself, and since he just so happens to be a hardcore Taylor Swift fan, he has a lot of opinions on whether what happened between Taylor and Tom was legit.
Spoiler alert: he thinks their love is very real.
“I saw the news about Tom and Taylor and I thought, at first, someone hacked into my brain and then Photoshopped it… [Hiddleston] said in some interviews that he saw a few of her videos and he thought she was charming and, I was like, ‘A few of her videos?!’ A guy like that is not watching, with all due respect, music videos on set between takes unless he really fancies her, as the Brits would say. I think it’s 100 percent real.”
Although he doesn’t try to deny that the photos were absolutely staged.
“I think someone on one of their teams may have tipped off the paparazzi, and I think it may have been his team since it was The Sun, a British tabloid, that got the exclusive. Then again, she’s Taylor Swift and there have to be people who see her walking to the beach and call a tabloid. But, if that’s the case, we haven’t seen any fan pics, and that’s what makes me think it’s an exclusive [to the paparazzi]… It’s definitely a staged photo, don’t get me wrong, the question is: Which camp did it? Was it a mutual agreement?”
He even goes so far as to speculate that Calvin and Taylor actually broke up because after meeting Tom at the Met Gala, Taylor started crushing on the 35-year-old, hard.
“I, as a Swift fan, was reading all these things, and I didn’t like how it was making her look like she got dumped, or they decided it was better to be friends. No, no, no; that’s not how it happened. She met the next James Bond with his British accent and he was talking all smart to her, doing his special dance moves, and then she came home to Calvin being all ‘Untz untz untz can’t talk right now; I’m making a beat,’ and she was like, ‘Uh, this isn’t working. Don’t touch my cat.'”
Can we hire Spencer Pratt to recreate all celebrity breakups from now on, because that seems like a TV show we’d definitely be down to watch.
Last but not least, Spencer weighs in on whether Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston have what it takes to go the distance.
“I think so! When I saw them together, I was like, ‘Here they go!’ This is somebody who can keep her interest. He could go win an Oscar. He doesn’t look too old and he doesn’t look too young; he looks like husband-type material. I just feel like that’s the level; she needs to go going to the Oscars with him, and not iHeartRadio with Calvin.”
Basically, he thinks they’re Hollywood’s newest power couple, and who are we to disagree with Spencer Pratt?
