There’s a Terrifying Rumor That T Swift Is Writing a Hip Hop Album
Well, this is terrifying.
Taylor Swift and Drake have been spending time together recently and the real reason why might be even crazier than the thought of them dating.
I never thought I’d see the day when I wrote this sentence, but now, word on the street is that Drake is allegedly helping Taylor Swift write a Hip-Hop and R&B-inspired album.
A source told the Sun, Taylor “really wants to try something different and unexpected for the next album,” so she’s experimenting with a mix “of edgier hip-hop and R&B sounds.”
“Taylor is always looking at ways to grow as an artist and really wants to try something different and unexpected for the next album,” the source continues. ”The remix of her song Bad Blood has a less pop vibe – especially once Kendrick Lamar featured on it – and was a big hit, so she thinks her fans will like her going in this direction.”
Just for the record, “Bad Blood” is maybe one of the most aggressively “pop” songs I can think of off the top of my head, with or without Kendrick’s verse.
It’s so pop it hurts my ears.
And if that’s Taylor’s definition of “a less pop vibe,” then I think her new album is gonna sound just as generically pop as her last album did, albeit with one or two more guest verses from prominent rappers.
Also, let’s be real, this is the Sun we’re talking about.
