Adding ‘Red Lobster’ to Formation Is the Chillest Thing Beyoncé’s Ever Done

There are a shit load of iconic lines and potential Instagram captions from Beyonce’s “Formation,” but one fan favorite is, “When he fuck me good, I take his ass to Red Lobster.”

Because shit, how else can you reward some guy for giving you good dick than with cheesy biscuits, right?

Well, it turns out that in the original version of the song, written by one half of Rae Sremmurd, Slim Jxmmi, the line was “If you fuck me good, I’ll take your ass to Margiela.”

So, how the hell did the song go from the high-end fashion house to the low-end seafood chain? Because Queen B is relatable af, obvi.

After producer Mike WiLL gave Beyonce the track, she chose to switch the line up.

WiLL noted that Bey “wrote both of her verses and she got inspired by what Jxmmi said,” in his interview with Red Bull Music Academy.

If Beyonce never changed the Margiela line, it would’ve just been another track that talks about brands that the majority of us can never afford. But now, it’s something that we can all appreciate. I mean, when our baes fuck us good, we can actually take them to Red Lobster. How legit is that?

Thanks for being the realest, B. We love you.
