You asked for it, and here it is! Telfar’s first flagship store is here, and it’s making history! On Saturday, November 23rd, the iconic brand officially unveiled its first permanent retail space in the heart of Manhattan, marking a bold new chapter for the label that has redefined accessible luxury. The grand opening was more than just a store launch—it was a cultural moment that cemented Telfar’s status as a trailblazer in fashion and community. It’s a store and it’s here forever!
The scene outside was electric, with fans lining up to catch a glimpse of the brand’s first brick-and-mortar venture. Inside, the energy was unmatched, with a mix of celebrities, influencers, and die-hard Telfar enthusiasts coming together to celebrate this milestone. From Lil’ Kim to Kelela, Aliyah’s Interlude, Jahad Carter, Cleotrapa, Leaf, Gitoo, even Ellie the Liberty Elephant and the Telfar mascot—the guest list read like a who’s who of cultural icons.
Telfar honored the stage with some of the most powerful female artists, celebrating voices that resonate with empowerment and individuality. The event featured live performances that felt as revolutionary as the brand itself. Cleotrapa, who served as both host and performer, lit up the stage with her hits “Rockstar” and “Everybody Ate.” Maiya The Don brought the house down with her anthem “Telfy,” and Muni Long captivated the crowd with her soulful performance of “Made for Me.” From the fiery energy of Cleotrapa and Maiya The Don to the soulful melodies of Muni Long, the performances underscored Telfar’s commitment to spotlighting dynamic, diverse talent.
But it wasn’t just about the performances. The flagship store showcased Telfar’s innovative approach to fashion, with new statement pieces that stayed true to the brand’s ethos of inclusivity and creativity. True to its inclusive ethos, the brand proudly represents size inclusivity, celebrating thick girls and uplifting the queer community through its designs and messaging. In a groundbreaking move, the event invited attendees to take the stage themselves, showcasing their talent in front of a live audience and streaming to the world. “This is an equal opportunity space,” declared one of the hosts, affirming Telfar’s dedication to creating a platform where everyone can shine. This isn’t just a store—it’s a permanent hub for Telfar’s loyal community, a place where fashion meets culture, and a landmark for the future of style.
