What does music mean to you?
To me, music is a language for emotion. It allows me to express feelings that I can’t quite express sometimes. It’s a way of communicating with myself and understanding my emotions, a form of release.
Can you describe your sound?
My signature sound wields 90s-inspired beats, pop vocals with a punch and fun-bopping lyrics.
What was the process of creating this track?
My process is always different cause my melodies come at me at all other times, but for MAKE !T POP, I wanted to bring a fun club feel energy for this one. We started the production in my home studio, and I instantly laid down these catchy pop melodies. I felt powerful that day in realizing that I don’t need anyone to make me feel whole or need anyone to rely on. You love yourself fully and be your boss. If I wanted to, I could go to a club alone without reason, fall in love with the lights on the dance floor, and be free.
Do you have a favorite beauty trend at the moment?
My top beauty trend right now, I’d have to say, is to bring back that 90s thin eyebrow and darker lip liner. I think the look is super powerful, giving edgy confidence.
What TikTok songs are you vibing on right now?
I’d have to say mine, haha jk but for real, I really love fellow Canadian girl Tate McRae’s “Greedy” and “Agora Hills” Doja Cat (meowwww)

The independent artist’s single “Chips n’ Dip” caught the attention of the music company music.com, which supported Novul by blasting four giant billboards around Los Angeles advertising the pop artist—Stream Novul to raise your vibrations and bring out your inner self-power.
