You should be carrying these melt-proof makeup products in your bag rn

The sun is still very much out – if you can’t feel the heat, maybe you just have great AC.

As much as we love soaking up the sun’s rays during Leo season, our makeup melts faster and gets stickier than an ice cream cone. What’s more tragic is that we can’t all afford to put our AC up on blast (lucky you, Kylie!), slash some of us don’t even have it (city life, amiright?).

Plus, most of us have to commute to work, and the heat in the subway system is no joke right now. Can you breathe?!? Your skin probs can’t!

Rather than skipping the makeup (because let’s be real, it’s kind of hard to go makeup free for like, 4 straight months), we’ve found the perfect solution for you – go for meltproof makeup that can actually stay on all day.

1. Browhaus Classic Browlead

My go-to eyebrow salon, Browhaus, is from Singapore – they also have their own small line of cosmetics. Inspired by our super hectic lifestyle, this goof-proof brow pencil is bound to outlast your hour-long Soul Cycle classes (although I don’t know if I recommend wearing makeup while working out, but that’s your prerogative). But seriously, it really does last *this* long.

2. MILK Makeup Blur Primer

I cannot tell you how many times I’ve abandoned primer altogether since I last wore it in high school. Most primers in the market are bound to give you a bad bout of breakouts, since they usually include silicone, parabens, talc, and oil (ww, who wants their face to smell like a deodorant?).

As a gift from the heavens, MILK Makeup’s Blur Stick truly saved my dang skin. This magical primer can really last all day, as it doesn’t make my skin oily. If you happen to be gluten intolerant, you can get with this product, too.

3. Huda Beauty Demi Matte Cream Lipstick

Hate the dryness of matte liquid lipstick, but also can’t be bothered to deal with a tube of melted lipstick in your bag? Dubai-based makeup mogul, Huda Kattan, solved your top beauty concern, with her brand new demi-matte liquid lipstick from her namesake beauty line.

These lipsticks are opaque enough to wear it to work or a red hot date. And, at the very least, you can enjoy your day without having the need to constantly re-apply your lipstick.

4. Winky Lux Watermelon Jelly Balm

Remember the scented Lip Smackers you hoarded when you were little? You can treat yourself to an all grown up version of it with this saccharine sweet watermelon-scented lip balm.

Like Dior’s Lip Glow, the color is adjusted according to the pH of your skin. Think of it as a mood ring, but for your lips! Plus, it doesn’t melt off of your face.

5. Eyeko Black Magic Mascara

As much as I adore a waterproof mascara, they are extremely difficult to remove. It’s a health hazard to sleep with yesterday’s leftover mascara to bed, and waterproof mascara usually sticks to your lashes, no matter how much you scrub it off (which also isn’t good for your skin).

Rather than ruining your poor lil’ lashes, you should go for a tubing mascara. Formulated to coat your lashes, the entire formula stays put throughout the day until you remove it. And it can actually be removed.

6. Glossier Cloud Paint

A post shared by Glossier (@glossier) on

I can’t count on my fingers the amount of times this gel-based, cream blush lasted me all day. As much as I adore a powder blush, a gel blush is more compatible with our skin, as we produce a shit ton of oil during hot weather (aka, rn).

Also, it won’t melt like a stick cream blush or be crushed like a powder. My top fave is Dawn, a super duper chic coral that instantly flushes your cheeks. If you want a slight flush to fake that sunburn look, you should go for Dusk, a lovely pinky nude.

7. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil

Eyeliner is one of the worst contenders in the heat. You either get a Taylor Momsen-esque panda eye or a neatly drawn humidity-proof cat eye like Rihanna. Also, who can’t forget this moment when LC’s eyeliner and mascara ran off? We can’t be looking like that!

If there’s one product that can truly last from a tear-jerking breakup, to a scorcher like today, I highly recommend this Urban Decay eyeliner. Once you apply it, it literally STAYS the f*** on. Doesn’t move. Doesn’t smudge. We stan.

8. Jillian Dempsey Lid Tint in Dew

Eye gloss doesn’t look like the most practical product out there, but I can’t deny the power of the gloddy lid look. Since it’s based on a balm to liquid texture, eye gloss can disguise oily eyelids, which is something we’re into when it’s this hot out.

Trust me, you will be looking like you faked 8 hours of sleep with a flawlessly dewy complexion that will rival Beyoncé’s.

9. Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream

Okurrrrrrr! This moisturizer is flames to the max and I honestly don’t know where to begin. Created by celebrity MUA, Charlotte Tilbury, this lightweight cream is makes your skin matte and meltproof under the sun. Throw this on before your makeup for a fabulous and smooth look.

It’s definitely helped to make my makeup stay put. If you are trying to cut down the amount of time you spend putting on makeup, try this moisturizer – trust me, it’ll have you ditching your setting spray.

10. NYX Professional Makeup Strictly Vinyl Lip Gloss

Heads up: vinyl ain’t dead. Shiny like the CD covers you used to play around with when you were little, these lip glosses are lethally light-reflective. If you’re planning to spend a day at a music festival, go for this lip gloss that lasts all day. Also, it’ll prevent your lips from burning to a crisp compared to a super drying matte lip.

There is literally nothing worse than dry ass lips on a hot day. Whew.

11. Winky Lux Double Matte Whip Liquid Lipstick

Alright, alright, alright. You caught me here. As much as I really want to declare liquid lipstick dead, it’s now a must-have in every MUA’s kit. If there is one liquid lipstick that can sit through the day (and smell like your fave margarita), you can’t go wrong with this pick from Winky Lux.

12. Hourglass Cosmetics Vanish Foundation

I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to good foundation. Ideally, the type of foundation I have to have has to contain zero silicones, sulfates, talc, and other scary unpronounceable names that will harm my skin. I’m also a girl on the go, so a stick foundation solves all my problems.

Easy to blend, creamy, and ridiculously smooth, Hourglass’ Vanish Foundation Stick is my top go-to product. Even though it’s slightly pricier than your normal drugstore foundations, you won’t regret splurging on it. This foundation didn’t give me any breakouts, and you can easily carry it around in your bag.

FYI, Hourglass doesn’t use animal products to make this flawless foundation. Viva la vegan, baby!

14. Sephora Collection Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer

A post shared by Sephora Collection US (@sc) on

Who says that skincare and makeup don’t go together?! Hide eye bags with this serum-infused concealer. You’ll feel instantly refreshed. Also, it can cover up pimples so flawlessly.

15. RMS Beauty Magic Luminizer

I’ve tried every highlighter under the sun and if there’s one that truly performs well, it’s RMS’ Magic Luminizer. Compared to most cream highlighters, you’ll still get that soft candle-lit glow, but it’s not garishly blinding (seriously, can we puh-leeze end the blinding highlighter trend?!). When layered on top of foundation, this cream-based highlighter doesn’t crumble at all, and it doesn’t smear the makeup beneath, either!

Most importantly, as this is the moral of this article, this product doesn’t melt under the freaking sun.

16. Tarte Amazonian Clay Matte Waterproof Bronzer

Mascaras and lipsticks are known for being able to be waterproof, but can a bronzer actually be waterproof? Tarte’s got the receipts with their wonderful waterproof bronzer that can last all day – even a 92 degree day!

17. Fenty Beauty Match Stix

I love my Fenty Beauty Match Stix. Whenever I apply it, it gets super creamy and it offers high coverage at the first two layers. I never felt the need to reapply it after wearing it for hours.

Heck, it even blends in flawlessly with my skin! Even as a contouring stick, it camouflages against your skin without the usual poorly-blended lines of a contour. It’s no secret that its high performance makes it hard to find a single Match Stix shade at Sephora.

18. Nudestix Magnetic Eye Color

A post shared by NUDESTIX (@nudestix) on

If you aren’t ready to experiment with eyeshadow, fake the “no makeup” look with a skin-matching color. If you’ve got oily eyelids, I highly recommend piling on a powder eyeshadow or primer underneath this product as it’ll last longer – something I recommend during the Summer months.

19. Dior BACKSTAGE Eyeshadow Palette

A post shared by Dior Makeup (@diormakeup) on

I saw Bella Hadid wear this eyeshadow set, so I went to Sephora and bought her exact eyeshadow palette (JK! I went for Warm Neutrals, actually).  Believe it or not, Dior’s diffusion makeup range is totally worth the hype.

Equipped with a primer and a bajillion shades, everything is easily blendable with your finger or brush. Every single pigment applies evenly like avocado on toasted bread. If you’re a beginner at makeup like I am, you should absolutely use this palette (I literally wear it everyday!).

20. SON AND PARK Flawless Pore Pact

Keep your makeup on lock with this setting powder. Although it’s in standard issue translucent powder white, it leaves zero residue! It instantly removes oil from your skin and it’s small enough to stuff it in your bag.

On-the-go Summer beauty!
