Limoblaze and Elle Limebear Are Spreading Good Vibes With Their Uplifting Collaboration Video “Over”

Get ready to meet Nigerian Limoblaze also known as Samuel Onwubiko,  a strong icon within the Afrogospel movement now dropping a cheerful new video/single alongside Christian Contemporary Elle Limebear. With strong influences from artists such as Michael Jackson, Fela Kuti, and Eminem he has fully embraced the Afrobeat sound to share the Gospel.

My vision is to use music as a platform to build systems that help young Christians gain the tools and guidance that empower them to share the gospel and chase their dreams” Limoblaze shares.

His previous single, Jireh (My Provider) ft. Lecrae and Happi had an instant viral impact across all short-form social media platforms, reaching a wide audience. In 2022, Limoblaze relocated to London and announced his presence in the AfroGospel scene in the UK. He also organized an AfroGospel showcase, featuring UK artists Asha Elia, Becca Fowlkes, and Anna Toria. This event showcased Limoblaze’s commitment to bridging the gap between African and UK music. Following the initial announcement of the show, the show sold out the initial 500-capacity room in 3 days before moving to the XOYO nightclub in Shoreditch where it sold out at 800+ capacity in two weeks.

But what exactly is Afrogospel you might ask? It can be described as Christian music infused into the modern-day Afro beats. It embodies the danceable beats present in Afro-centric music and matches it with Christian lyricism. Now that everyone is on the same page, let’s take a look at the video/song.

Limoblaze and Elle tackle delicate subjects in “Over” such as the difficulties we face in this digital age and the high amount of anxiety people all over the world suffer thanks to this. They use their music to speak to the world, employing their faith as a shield against negative energies and thoughts. This song is a perfect example of what Afrogospel can be. They have combined their unique talents and skills to produce a top-notch song. Both worlds collide into an explosion of heartfelt lyrics and danceable Afro rhythms. Even if you’re not a religious person, there’s something for you here. Its positive message is one everyone can relate to, no matter where you are from or what you believe in. The visuals match the positive vibes of the song with Limoblaze and Elle chanting their lyrics and dancing alongside their friends. Anxiety. Fear. Worry. Addiction. “It’s all over,” sings Limoblaze. A powerful message is behind these words. It is always encouraging to meet artists who use their music to make a positive impact on everyone’s lives. Limoblaze and Elle have forged something truly stirring. Join their flock and let’s spread the message of hope. Let’s all come together and make the world a better place.
