Liam Hemsworth got tricked into buying the house where Miley wrote her first album
Everyone’s favorite re-engaged couple Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are currently living together in a house he bought in Malibu — but there’s an insane back story for how they got there, which Miley just divulged to Howard Stern.
Back when Miley and Liam were broken up, Liam was house-shopping in Malibu, Miley said.
“When Liam — he’s my boyfriend now — when we broke up for a minute, he wanted to get away from me, he wanted to go to Malibu, and bought this house,” she said.

So he picked a place — but “he didn’t know it was the house I recorded my first album [Breakout] in,” Miley said.
The seller clearly was a fan of celeb gossip and had hidden every hint of Miley from Liam before he bought the house.
But then, “he went to move in and he was like ‘Fuck, I cannot get away, this bitch is all over my fucking house!'” Miley charmingly recalled.
Of course, the couple is now back together, living together in said Malibu house, and allegedly engaged (although Miley called Liam her boyfriend, not her fiancé, and everyone swears they’re not getting married any time soon) and famously weed-free.
But isn’t it fun to know the back story to “Malibu” contains a little bit of real estate trickery?
